This safari to the vast Kafue National Park in West/Central Zambia is the ideal add-on to a South Luangwa Safari.
The best time to visit Kafue is late in the dry season, from August to October.
Scheduled flight from Lusaka departs at 2:30pm, and arrive at the Shumba airstrip at 3:40pm, where you are met by your guide for a game drive transfer to the Shumba Camp.
Shumba Camp is located on a tree island in the middle of the Busanga Plains. Enjoy three nights of game drives, balloon flight and some water activities out on the plains, in search of Busanga's lions and, cheetah and many species of antelope.

Expert tips:
The balloon flights operate in August, Sept & October only. Booked and paid for in camp only, this will serve as a conservation fee contributing directly to anti-poaching efforts in the area. All balloon excursions are subject to availability and weather dependent.
Alternative accommodation is Busanga Bush Camp.

Day notes
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip, for a scheduled light air fligh back to Lusaka, departing at 9:30am. Optional flight to Livingstone (Victoria Falls) operates on Wednesday's & Sunday's.
On arrival in Lusaka, connect with onward arrangements.
