Tongasoa in Madagascar! 

We'll be delighted to welcome you at Nosy Be airport on your arrival and transfer you to your hotel.

You'll be transferred by car to the fishing village of Ambatozavavy, in the south of Nosy Be island, from where you'll board a traditional pirogue to reach the Lokobe East reserve, paddling along the mangrove swamp. And there you are! You'll be greeted by your local guide, whose company is simply delightful. A native of the village, he knows the flora and fauna of the region inside out. He can easily spot nocturnal lemurs nestling in tree trunks and chameleons camouflaged in the forest. Lokobe is Nosy Be's last protected primary forest, with a rich diversity of medicinal plants endemic to Madagascar, as well as ancient trees. This forest, the delight of many scientists, will plunge you into a dense rainforest. Like an initiation rite, let yourself be guided into this unspoilt universe to discover diurnal lemurs, as well as reptiles, chameleons, insects and tropical birds. After a 2.5-hour walk, we return to the village for a delicious lunch. Return to Nosy Be by motorized pirogue.

After breakfast, you'll take a motorboat to the islet of Nosy Sakatia.  Nosy Sakatia is one of Nosy Be's most protected islands. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll discover the island's interior during a one-and-a-half-hour trek: coffee, pepper, vanilla, traveler palms, pineapple, cashew, mango, jackfruit, guava, eucalyptus, raffia, orchids, medicinal plants and more.   You'll also learn about the culture and traditional activities of the native Malagasy people, including rituals, costumes, beliefs and legends.  During the walk, you'll quench your thirst by drinking coconut juice picked from the tree, which is rich in vitamins and minerals, as well as calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. It's excellent for your health and, depending on the season, we'll also sample some fruit. After the visit, you can observe the sea turtles by boat or snorkeling.

End your tour with lunch at the Sakatia Lodge Restaurant.

This day will be devoted to discovering the Nosy Tanikely islet marine reserve. Nosy Tanikely is a protected underwater nature reserve. Snorkelling equipment is all you need to dive into a life-size aquarium. Just a few steps away, you can observe coral, anemones, multicolored fish, shellfish and, if you're lucky, turtles again. During your visit, you can swim, snorkel and walk to the lighthouse to see lemurs, lizards, chameleons and butterflies.

For lunch, a seafood meal will be prepared on the beach.

In the afternoon, return to the hotel.

The day is devoted to exploring Nosy Iranja. Made up of two small islands linked by a sandbank fully exposed at low tide, Nosy Iranja is located 40 km south of Nosy Be (1.5 hours by fast boat). The beauty of its beaches, the richness of its reef and the friendliness of the fishermen who live on the west coast make Nosy Iranja the most fascinating island in the Nosy Be archipelago. It's a paradise island of turquoise blue, white and natural green. It's a bird's paradise, with terns, a few varieties of heron and the occasional sea eagle.

Lunch is served on tables shaded by coconut palms (crab, grilled fish, zebu and shrimp kebabs, coconut rice, raw vegetables, tropical fruit).

After breakfast, you'll make your way to the Mangasoa Lodge hotel, where the boat is waiting to take you to Tsarabanjina. The boat transfer takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on weather conditions.

Day free. Activities of your choice and at your own expense can be arranged with the hotel manager. Nosy Tsarabanjina is one of the islets of the exquisite Mitsio archipelago. This incredibly secluded private island boasts palm-fringed white sand beaches and incredibly blue waters. Here you can relax or take part in guided nature walks and birdwatching excursions, as well as excellent diving and snorkeling. Traditional boat trips are also available. Don't miss the chance to sample Malagasy cuisine based on freshly caught seafood, while sipping a cocktail and admiring a magnificent sunset. This island is perfect for those who want to get away from it all and immerse themselves in a peaceful island paradise.

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Nosy Be, then to the Home the Residence hotel, where you'll spend the rest of your stay. 

In the late afternoon, we'll head for Mont Passot, the highest point of Nosy Be, where we'll witness a magnificent sunset (timing permitting) with an unrivalled 360° view over the whole island.

Today, a solidarity excursion to discover the daily life of the Malagasy people. 

Home Madagascar supports local development initiatives and devotes part of its resources to social and environmental projects. This excursion will enable you to share in the daily life of the inhabitants of the village of Andrahibo.

During this walk through enchanting and authentic landscapes, you will witness the life of the villagers and have a meal with them.

The proceeds of this solidarity excursion are entirely allocated to them.
