Day 1: Luang Prabang

Today marks the first day of your incredible adventure through Laos. The trip begins in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang where a private minivan awaits you at the airport to take you to your accommodation. Enjoy a free afternoon to relax and acclimatize in preparation for the next adventure-filled days!

Day 2: Luang Prabang

This morning is the first day to visit the museum at the former Royal Palace Museum which was built between 1904 & 1905, during the French colonial times as a residence for King Sisavangvong. This fascinating museum features the original royal chambers, paintings depicting traditional Lao life, a throne room, and four of the old royal cars, including an Easel.

Wat Xieng Thong which was built by King Sayasettha back in 1565. It is also known as the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang, from here continue to is Wat Visoun temple which was built by King Visounnarath 500 years ago in 1513!

After enjoying lunch we head to the incredibly scenic Kuang Xi Waterfall which is surrounded with turquoise blue pools and an ideal place for swimming, you will pass by the Free the Bears Center, a rescue center for endangered Asiatic black bears.

Back in Luang Prabang, we will visit Wat Phousi to enjoy the rewarding view of the city.

Day 3: Oudomxay Province

Today is the traveling day from Luang Prabang to Oudomxay, the journey takes 5 – 6 hours, however, there is the nice stop along the way as Hmong village, where they are making a bamboo paper.
We will arrive in Oudomxay in the early afternoon and after check in to the hotel, there is the good spot to catch the sunset on the top of Wat Chomthat, form there you will see the view of the town.

Day 4: Overnight Travel

After breakfast and we shall travel by our minivan to Ban kakapo, where we will meet with our village guide, Then it takes us 1,5 – 2 hours hiking from Ban kokpao to Ban Ban Namngatai and Ban Namnganeua, homes of Tai Yang tribe. Fewer populations of Tai Yang living in this area.

Lunch time at the village. explore village and their culture. Then we continue our trekking to the remote area to Ban Phoustthi, a home ofAkha Ya-er. Arrive at the village. dinner, and spend overnight at this village. 4 – 5 hours trekking

Day 5: Overnight Travel

Early morning we explore village and their daily activities in the morning. Breakfast and then we leave village. today we will trek to visit two different tribes of Laobith and Akha pala. It takes us 2 – 2,5 hours trekking to Ban Kopngew, a home of Laobith. Visit village and its people, lunch time at village. after that we go on our trek to Ban Huayla, a village of Akha pala. Arrive at village, explore village and its culture.
4,5 – 5 hours trekking.

Day 6: Overnight Travel

Early in the morning, we will be wakened up by roosters. Then it’s a good time to explore the village and its people to do their morning activities. Time for breakfast, then we leave this village. Today we will trek pass mountain valleys, descend along upland rice fields. Experience the wonderful views of this area. Lunch on the way. Continue our trek, we walk up to the higher mountain, then we arrive at Ban Senkham, a home of Akha pala. It is a good time to have a relaxed talk with families. Explore this village. dinner, spend overnight at this village. 4 – 5 hours trekking.

Day 7: Oudomxay Province

After breakfast, we leave the village. Today we will descend to Ban Namli. On the way we walk through forests with its nice scenery, pass upland rice fields and crops plantations. Trek down to the lower area of Namli. Arrive at Namli for lunch. From here we will take a private minivan to Oudomxay. 3 – 4 hours trekking.

Day 8: Nong Khiaw

This morning we will spend the time to climb up on Phou That stupa, the famous temple of the area, from the top you will get the very nice view of Oudomxay town.
Back to your hotel for breakfast and travel by our private vehicle to Nong Khiaw.

In the late afternoon, if you wish there is a nice viewpoint of Nong Khiaw, Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the views are truly stunning – at an altitude of approx. 1,100m you will have a 360-degree stunning vista of the surrounding mountains, the river & bridge, Nong Khiaw village below you.

Remark: This is place is not recommended during the rainy season ( June – October).

Day 9: Luang Prabang

This morning we will spend the timw to walk around Nong Khiaw town, before take the private car to Luang Prabang, the journey take 4 hours, so you can leave on your convenience time.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

Time is on your leisure until time for transfer to airport and flight to your next destination.
