We will pass the Houtbay Harbour before driving along the spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive. After spending time at Cape Point where we will spot some small wildlife like dassies, antelope and baboons, we ride past Boulder's Beach to meet the African Penguins. From here it's off to historic town of Stellenbosch, famous for its wine! We will have dinner in the oak lined streets.

Day 4: Klein Karoo

After breakfast, we spend a bit of time exploring the town with it's galleries and markets.

Back on the bikes, we traverse the magnificent Helshoogte Pass, one of the most loved and travelled roads in the Western Cape, linking Stellenbosch to the iconic and charming town of Franschhoek, where we will stop for coffee. We are then guaranteed to be spoilt with breathtaking views and scenery, through the Franschhoek Pass, then down to Theewaterskloof Dam. We cross another stretch of road featuring epic scenery, Cogmanskloof Pass, to Montagu - famous or its dried fruit. From there, we ride through the iconic R62 past arty Barrydale where we will stop for lunch and make our way slowly along the foot of the Swartberg Mountains.

In the afternoon, we arrive in the old town of Oudtshoorn, well known as the ostrich capital of South Africa and home of the famous Cango Caves.

Day 5: Prince Albert

This morning, we relax over a substantial breakfast. We will have some time to visit one of the working ostrich farms in the area and/or the Cango Caves before we leave for one of the most intrepid and picturesque drives of the whole tour! The Swartberg Mountain pass is considered one of the most spectacular mountain passes in the world, with breathtaking views at every turn.

In the afternoon, we arrive at another sweet little town, Prince Albert, where we will stop for the night. The area is known for fruit, wine and olive farms.

Our road today will lead us through some beautiful canyons and well kept mountain passes. Tip - keep your camera close, as the scenery will be changing frequently from the dry interior, down to the coastline. Next stop, Knysna... a natural paradise of lush, indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches at the heart of the world famous Garden Route.

We depart after breakfast and continute along the foot of the Swartberg Mountains towards Meirings Poort and stop at a working olive farm. The ride is both daring and stunning as the road cuts through the mountain and our halfway stop will be a selected waterfall.

We're off for our last ride of the day, carefully winding our way along the Prince Alfred pass where we will stop for lunch. Then through the indigenous forests of the area, to finally arrive in Knysna. We'll be here for two nights to enjoy the beautiful coastline and other attractions.
