Day notes
Today you enjoy your first visit. Rather modern in appearance, Zagora at first glance seems more important as a regional administrative centre than interesting as a place to visit. Although you will not find the historical architectural wonders of Fez and Meknès, or the richly laden atmosphere of Marrakech, Zagora remains an interesting point from which to explore this south-eastern corner of Morocco.
Surrounding the town are the endless palm groves of the Drâa Valley, framed by the Jbel Rhart and the peaks of the Jbel Sarhro to the North and the Jbel Bani to the south. In between the greenery of the palm groves lie the Ksour, or fortified villages, whose colour and texture reflect the colour of the stone from which they are built. The age of this type of settlement is reflected in the name, which is an Arabised version of the word 'Caesar'.
Day notes
Today’s excursion will take you to Tinghir a charming city which is situated between the mountains of the large Atlas to the North and those of Saghro in the South.
Known by its splendid palm plantation and the Toudgha, undoubtedly the most spectacular of Morocco .
The city, populated by 60 ' 000 inhabitants (neighbouring villages included) and built in stages around a headland dominated by the ruins of an old residence of Glaoui, was a military station during protectorate. The town of Tinghir is also known for its splendid palm plantation length a 35 kilometers and is truffée of small Ksour and other Kasbah
Day notes
Depart to Marrakech by 4x4 jeep 230 km – around 4 hours scenic drive.
Stop to visit the Famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah; Listed as a World Heritage by Unesco for many years, the ksar of the Ait ben Haddou is a fortress on top of a big hill. It dominates the high plateau that goes to Ouarzazate southwards, and climbs towards Marrakech and the Tichka pass, northwards.

Today you will enjoy a historical Tour of Marrakech with the main attractions in the city including:
Majorelle Gardens: The Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech is one of the most visited sites in Morocco. It took French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962) forty years of passion and dedication to create this enchanting place in the heart of the “Ochre City”. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought the Jardin Majorelle in 1980 and saved it from falling victim to a hotel complex. The new owners decided to live in the Villa Bou Saf Saf, which they renamed Villa Oasis, and undertook the restoration of the garden in order to “make the Jardin Majorelle become the most beautiful garden – by Respecting the vision of Jacques Majorelle.”
Bahia Palace: is a palace and a set of gardens located in Marrakech, It was built in the late 19th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time. The name means 'brilliance'. As in other buildings of the period in other countries, it was intended to capture the essence of the Islamic and Moroccan style. There is a 2 acre (8,000 m²) garden with rooms opening onto courtyards.
THE BEN YOUSSEF MEDERSA: was established in the 14th century, but was rebuilt about 200 years later. With a strong influence of Moorish Spain, the courtyard is a tasteful combination of intricate forms and styles. The decorations are up from several types of materials: stucco, marble, mosaic and cedarwood
Before our visit to the Medersa Benyoussef we’ll 1st stop at musée benyoussef for a private cocktail, we’ll then visit the Medersa
THE SQUARE
The traditional meeting place for peasants and merchants has become the heart of Marrakech. In the morning, this vast square, bordered by shops and workshops, it crowded with fruit and spice sellers with their leather water bottles and metal drinking cups , basket sellers, ironmongers and barbers. In the afternoon come the musicians, storytellers, snake charmers and entertainers with performing monkeys.

Full day activities in an area with a unique sense of remoteness and beauty.
Jack's Camp, an oasis of style and comfort in the Makgadikgadi Pans Botswana; is truly like nowhere else on Earth. Spectacular vistas, expert guiding and unique old-world safari style all add to the experience on offer.
Set off in the morning to visit some of the Kalahari’s most fascinating inhabitants, the meerkats.
As a meerkat’s wake up time is weather dependent, breakfast might be enjoyed in camp on cooler and rainy days, or as a picnic on warmer, sunnier days.
Due to an ongoing habituation programme, it’s possible for Guests to get up close and personal with these captivating creatures. Remember, they are not tame – just used toour non-threatening presence.
On chilly mornings, you might well find a meerkat snuggling up to you for warmth, or in the absence of a termite mound or tree, using your head as a sentry lookout post…
By spending quality time with these incredibly social, superbly adapted animals, you will be able to see how they interact with each other and their environment. You also get the chance to see the desert through the eyes of a meerkat – which, despite the fact that it’s only a foot off the ground, is a
pretty spectacular vantage point, and definitely one of the most special and memorable game experiences you will encounter in Botswana.
Leave the meerkats as they continue with their eternal foraging, to visit a remote cattle-post. Here you will learn about the traditional culture of the Batswana people.
Close by is the famous Chapman’s Baobab (Also known as the Seven Sisters) which is acknowledged to be the third largest tree in Africa, and was the campsite of early explorers like Livingstone and Selous when they pioneered the area. This gives you an opportunity to gain a fascinating insight into the history of the early explorers.
Meals and overnight in Jack's Camp.
Day notes
Morning activity may include time to spend the morning walking with the Zu/’hoasi Bushmen. Uncharted Africa / Jacks Camp has pioneered and passionately supported cultural tourism in Botswana since the company’s inception in 1993.
It has long been their belief that it is a vitally important tool in terms of preserving this unique, but sadly fast-vanishing, culture. They have been working closely with the Zu/’hoasi people of the Western Kalahari
for many years and are privileged to have Bushmen women, men and preschool children comprised of four generations, living at Jack’s Camp in the Makgadikgadi.
Offering a window into the past, they teach us how they have survived in this harshest of environments, using their vast and ancient knowledge of plants, animal behaviour and survival skills.
The Zu/’hoasi lead a semi-traditional lifestyle, and share their traditional hunting and food-gathering skills as well as how they make jewellery and hunting equipment, it is a glimpse into their fast vanishing, traditional way of life, but by no means an attempt to keep them frozen in time.
Through their initiative, a community is able to work together and share their knowledge with each other and Guests, allowing the older generation to pass the knowledge on to the next generation. The young children are the future and we hope that they carry the knowledge and traditions of their incredible ancient culture into the modern world with a sense of pride and
personal empowerment.

Day notes
Enjoying the winelands for the final day of your gourmet experience
Day notes
Depart from the Winelands and travel to Cape Town via a Peninsula tour with your guide.
Again your day will be tailor-made, but a general day could look as follows:
Starting at the seaside village of Muizenburg you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of False Bay. Follow the incredibly scenic route along the False Bay coast through the fishing villages like Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek on the way to Simonstown (this having been a British naval town until as recent as 1957, normally comes as a pleasant surprise to everyone visiting the Cape Peninsula as encountering such a ‘British Town’ in Cape Town is unexpected).
Drive through to Boulders beach to visit the penguin colony and the two thousand Jackass Penguins before continuing along the scenic mountain drive to False Bay to visit The Cape of Good Hope reserve. Cape Point reserve is a magnificent floral wilderness at the foot of Africa. For the nature loving person it is a truly fantastic experience traversing such a unique floral kingdom. You may get to see some antelope, ostrich or baboon, possibly even Burchell Zebra that makes an appearance on the reserve infrequently.
From the Cape Point reserve head back up the Western side of the Peninsula along the treacherous Atlantic coast through the amazingly beautiful seaside hamlet of Misty Cliffs and then over the Peninsula Mountains.
For lunch for today we suggest the elegant Constantia Uitsig – La Colombe Restaurant (please settle lunch account locally, as it will be al la carte and we do not want to limit you to a set menu or set wines) . Or your Local guide can discuss this with you on your preference or make another suggestion.
You should arrive at the hotel at about 17:30pm for check in.
