Day 1: Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Pick up from Nairobi in the morning. You then drive northward through Nanyuki town, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until we reach Isiolo town and then down into the thorny landscape of Samburu country. You will arrive in time for lunch, following which, you will head out on an afternoon game drive.

Day 2: Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Before dawn we head out in search of Africa's wild cats. Samburu is rich in wildlife not seen in other parts of Kenya. Here, you will find the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, endangered Beisa Oryx and the blue - shanked Somali ostrich, all common to the northern province of Kenya. Watch for elephant, rhino, lion, and buffalo. An occasional crocodile will appear on the banks of the Uaso Ngiro River.  From the game drive we return to the camp for breakfast and some R&R "rest and relaxation", read a book or sunbathe before heading out again on your afternoon drive.

Day 3: Nakuru

Last morning game drive in Samburu. After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive for lunch. Thereafter proceed to the park for afternoon game drive until sunset and return to your camp. The park is treasured by birders for the flocks of flamingoes and other aquatic birds found here. It is also a Rhino and Rothchild’s giraffe sanctuary.

Day 4: Masai Mara

After breakfast drive to Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve, the unspoiled Savannah.  After lunch and some time for relaxation, sunbathing, your guide will take you for an afternoon game drive in search of the shy and elusive leopard, lions, buffalo, and many others. As the sun starts to edge its way into the African horizon it will be the perfect opportunity to capture the beautiful Mara landscape on camera.

Day 5: Masai Mara

Morning breakfast at the tented camp after which you will head out with picnic lunch boxes and spend the day in the reserve exploring and experience nature in its raw form. The landscape is breathtaking with its network of roads specially constructed for game viewing. Break for lunch at a picnic site then continue with spotting wild animals until early evening when you return to the camp.

Day 6: End of Itinerary

After breakfast, leave the park and drive to Narok for lunch. Drive on arriving Nairobi in the late afternoon where your safari ends with drop off at your Nairobi Hotel or at the hotel. 

An additional morning game drive can be added for a park fee supplement of US$ 70 per person and US$ 20 for the guide.
