Day 1: Mana Pools National Park

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you clear customs and immigration and make your way to the check in desk for your flight to Hwange (flying time is 110 minutes).

Mana River camp is located along the Zambezi River within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A quaint and comfortable safari camp with friendly staff providing a homely and authentic safari experience.

Days 2 - 4: Mana Pools National Park

Mana River Camp is positioned on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River nestled between this enormous perennial river and a much visited water pan, particularly enjoyed by elephants for mud bathing. Shade in the camp is provided by riverine forest predominately Trichilia Emetica and the fabled Faidherbia Albida (apple ring or Anna Tree).

Mana Pools National Park covers 2196 square kilometres and is situated in the north of Zimbabwe on the banks of the Zambezi River, the fourth longest river in Africa.  Mana Pools enjoys the designation for being a UNESCO World Heritage site, a RAMSAR site and also has the status of belonging to the UNESCO Middle Zambezi River Biosphere Reserve.

Enjoy morning and evening game drives, guided walks, boating and canoeing on the Zambezi River as well as traditional mokoro excursions (dug out canoes).

Day 5: Western Hwange National Park

This morning you will be transferred to Mana Main airstrip in time to connect with a scheduled flight to Robin's airstrip. (flying time 1h30 minutes)

On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Daka Plains Camp.

Sitting atop the gently rolling foothills of the far northwest region of Hwange National Park, lies a privately owned camp that could easily be considered one of the most secluded in the entire area. It's a rare find for adventurers seeking an immersive and intimate experience in the heart of Southern Africa. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, Daka Plains Camp offers guests the chance to participate in guided walks and game drives through some of the most untamed and diverse terrain in the region.

From its prime location bordering Botswana, the camp offers breathtaking views that extend all the way to the Makgadikgadi salt pans, providing a glimpse into the captivating Kalahari ecosystem. A unique feature of this area are the springs and seeps that provide water for wildlife throughout the dry season.

Days 6 - 8: Western Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is the largest in Zimbabwe, covering an impressive 14,650 sq km. Its sheer size means that its scenery, vegetation and game varies hugely, ranging from Kalahari sands in the south, to beautiful forests, granite hills and valleys of mopane woodlands in the north.

Elephants are the stars of the show and can be seen by their hundreds during the dry season. The Park is also home to over 100 mammal species and more than 470 bird species.

The park is named after a local Nhanzwa chief, and was once the royal hunting ground for the Ndebele warrior-king Mzilikazi, before being classified as a protected National Park in 1929.

You spend the next days enjoying the activities on offer including game drives, walking safaris and night drives in the camps concession and further afield into the national park.

Day 9: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After a morning activity and breakfast, transfer to the airstrip in time to connect with a light air flight to Victoria Falls Airport (flying time is 25 minutes).

On arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be met and transferred to The Wallow Lodge.

The Wallow Lodge is situated in a private game reserve, peacefully nestled in the heart of the Victoria Falls National Park.

The tented camp is set along the banks of the Masuwe River, surrounded by 4,500 acres of wilderness that stretches into the horizon, where a cloud of mist from the ‘Mosi-Oa-Tunya’ commands the skyline.

Victoria Falls is a short twenty-minute transfer from the lodge, giving guests the freedom to tailor-make their experience and find a balance between the exclusivity of the bush and the excitement of Africa’s Adventure Capital.

Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

The Victoria Falls waterfall, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders), is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

On your guided walking tour of the falls, you will have the opportunity to discover the many facets of the magnificent Victoria Falls. Explore the rain-forest while learning about the history of the Falls, its geological significance and its flora and fauna.

You  have the opportunity to soak up the beautiful vistas, lush surroundings, magical waterfalls, and the spray of the Falls.

Indulge in a selection of cocktails and canapés on the rim of the Batoka Gorge, where the Zambezi Rapids rage 120 meters below.

This hidden gem is the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner and is exclusively for guests staying at The Wallow Lodge.

The Wallow Lodge is surrounded by natural beauty, and we focus on creating a space where guests can form a relationship with and learn about the environment they are in. We do this through our partnership with The Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust, located in the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary adjacent to the lodge. The Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust is a non-profit entity and dedicated vehicle for promoting conservation awareness, education, and community empowerment.

A tour of the Trust is part of our guest experience. Guests will visit the High-Care Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre and Laboratory facilities to learn about innovative conservation initiatives from a team of passionate research and wildlife experts.

This activity is included but must be scheduled with management on arrival and is subject to availability.

Game drives are a quintessential safari experience, and with over 4500 acres of traversing wilderness, no two game drives are ever the same. The Wallow Lodge is nestled within the expansive Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary, so guests can exclusively explore the pristine wilderness during a morning or evening game drive.

Professional, passionate and knowledgeable safari guides lead the game drives. The freedom of structure creates a continuous adventure, and the journey follows the calls and contours of the landscape.
