Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

Upon your arrival at the Livingstone Airport you will be met by your transfer driver and taken to your hotel for the next three nights.

Bask in graceful safari style only steps from one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Sweeping Zambezi River and savannah views stretch from every veranda as you relax in elegance.

Wake up to the sight of zebras wandering the hotel grounds. Raise a glass at sunset to the marvellous waterfall thundering to its depths as you recline in style. Surrender to relaxation with spa therapies under the shade of monkey trees on the banks of the river. 

The Royal Livingstone is located on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, overlooking and with direct access to the Victoria Falls. 

This afternoon you will enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi river, before relaxing at the hotel on the banks of the river for the evening.

Day 2: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

We will kick this morning of with a tour of the Victoria Falls on both Zambia and Zimbabwe's side.  After the tour you will have some time for leisure to relax around the pool or partake in any additional optional activities, before venturing out on an old fashioned Steam Safari on the Royal Livingstone Express.

Day 3: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

This morning you will have time to sleep in a bit, before being collected for a lunch Livingstone Island experience.  You will be collected at 11:50 and return from the activity by 15:00.  Just in time to freshen up before your next activity, the Elephant Cafe Dinner experience.  Your transfer will be ready to collect you at 15:15 for this activity and you will return approximately 21:00.

Devil's Pool is the ultimate infinity pool, adjacent to the famous Livingstone Island situated on the edge of the Victoria Falls. Guests can choose to enjoy an exhilarating swim to the edge of the falls during their Livingstone Island visit. The Devil's Pool is usually open between mid August and mid January - depending on the Zambezi water levels.

About 10km upriver from Victoria Falls, The Elephant Café veers off the beaten track not only in location, but with its unique blend of wild eatables, foraged locally. The guests are greeted by the resident elephants, gentle giants of all ages, whose peaceful demeanour washes over their guests. Seated upon a beautifully-appointed deck suspended over the Zambezi River, the diner’s taste buds are taken on an African adventure.

Day 4: Eastern Hwange National Park

After breakfast you will be collected by your driver that will take you by road all the way to Hwange Main Camp, from where you will be met by your guide who will drive to the rest of the way to your lodge in Hwange National Park.  The drive is approximately 2 and a half hours, depending on road conditions on the day, border formalities and how often we stop.

Linkwasha Camp is undoubtedly the most exclusive and luxurious safari camp in the Hwange National Park, owing to its superb location, outstanding service, dramatic scenery and incredible wildlife viewing, all combined with some of the best guiding in Africa. Home to one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa, Hwange National Park is a wonderful year-round destination for safari goers

Day 5: Eastern Hwange National Park

Explore Hwange National Park through a variety of activities while you stay at Linkwasha Camp.

As well as game drives and walking safaris guests can also visit the local village and learn about the traditional ways of life of the local community. Also the resident ecologist at Linkwasha Camp presents informative talks about the area, its wildlife and the ways of helping to conserve it. At night the more adventurous guests can enjoy a thrilling sleep out on the specially built sleep-out deck, the ‘star bed’, dozing off under the stars surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa.

Day 6: Chobe River Front

After breakfast you will be collected by your driver for the road transfer from Hwange National Park to Ngomo Safari Lodge.  For those of you not interested in spending 6 hours on this drive, we can include a Chartered Flight instead.

Set within the Chobe Forest Reserve, bordering the Chobe National Park and overlooking the Chobe River, Ngoma Safari Lodge offers panoramic views of the river and the floodplain.

  • Birding: there are over 450 species to be spotted in the region.
  • Walking with a professional guide (subject to availability and pre-booking).
  • Optional breakfast and lunch cruise from the new jetty at Ihaha, located in western Chobe.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

After breakfast transfer by road back to Kasane Airport, which is approximately 1 and a half hours. It is also partially a game drive, so it makes the drive worth the while. 

Your package comes to an end upon your arrival at Kasane Airport.
