Nairobi

Day notes

Awake and start your day with a sumptuous breakfast before heading to the Giraffe Centre for an up-close encounter with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. The Giraffe Centre, run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, has played a crucial role in breeding and reintroducing these giraffes into the wild since the late 1970s. It also serves as a Conservation Education Centre for Kenyan youth. A one-hour visit here provides plenty of time to interact with and learn about these magnificent creatures.

Next, you'll proceed to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for your pre-booked 11:00 AM public visit, where you'll meet rescued baby elephants under the age of two. These orphans have survived harrowing experiences, having lost their families and faced near-death situations. Thanks to the Trust’s dedicated efforts, they now have a second chance at life, growing in a nurturing environment before eventually being reintroduced into the wild.

Afterwards, enjoy a pre-booked lunch at Matbronze Wildlife Art Gallery at 12:45 PM, where you can also take a leisurely stroll through the gallery and shop for unique wildlife-inspired souvenirs.

Following a brief rest at your accommodation, you'll head out for a 7:00 PM pre-booked dinner at Cultiva Restaurant, known for its fresh, farm-to-table dining experience. After dinner, return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Day notes

After your time in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, you’ll transfer into the adjoining Naboisho Conservancy for three nights at Saruni Leopard Hill Camp.

About Naboisho Conservancy

Naboisho is a private, community-owned conservancy created in partnership with Maasai landowners. With controlled bed numbers and strict vehicle limits, it offers uncrowded sightings, superb big-cat viewing (notably lion and cheetah), abundant plains game, and rich birdlife. Unlike the main Reserve, Naboisho permits off-road driving for quality sightings, night game drives to search for nocturnal species, and guided bush walks—all of which make wildlife time here feel more immersive and flexible. Your stay directly supports local conservation and community livelihoods.

Your stay at Saruni Leopard Hill (Naboisho)

Saruni Leopard Hill offers a unique blend of privacy, luxury, and immersion in nature. Tucked into a prime wildlife area, the camp features spacious, elegantly designed tents with retractable roofs for stargazing, panoramic views, and eco-sensitive design. The camp is known for its warm hospitality, excellent guiding, and tranquil atmosphere that balances modern comfort with a deep respect for the wilderness.

Highlights of Saruni Leopard Hill

  • Stargazing from your tent thanks to the retractable roof design

  • Close proximity to Maasai cultural projects, offering authentic community engagement opportunities

  • A campfire lounge and wellness space for yoga or relaxation between game drives

  • Direct views onto the conservancy’s salt lick, often drawing wildlife right to camp

Typical flow & activities

  • Morning & afternoon game drives in the conservancy

  • Night drives to search for lions on the move, bat-eared foxes, aardwolf, and more

  • Guided bush walks (conditions permitting) to explore tracks, plants, and birdlife

  • Bush breakfasts, sundowners & picnics in scenic spots

  • Time to relax at camp, stargaze from your private deck, or enjoy evenings around the fire

Three nights here provides the ideal combination of exclusive game viewing, cultural connection, and the distinctive Saruni experience.
