Day 1: Johannesburg

You will be met on arrival and assisted through the entry formalities and then shown to the hotel. The City Lodge is easy and convenient option located at the airport for your arrival into Johannesburg. You will have a chance to refresh and get into the right time zone before your safari starts tomorrow with a morning flight to Hoedspruit. 

Days 2 - 4: Klaserie Private Game Reserve

A quick flight takes you to Hoedspruit Airport today where you will be met by a driver who will transfer you to your first safari location in the Greater Kruger area. 

The reserve is home to the big 5 and endangered species such as wild dog and ground hornbill. A day safari starts early in the morning, as the sun starts to rise and animals are most active. A quick coffee stop while out on drive is perfect to warm up and take in the incredible sounds of the bush. During the heat of the midday sun, it’s often best to return to camp for a siesta before heading out again in the late afternoon when the bush comes alive, and the waterholes are a magnet for thirsty wildlife. 

The camp also has an educational Kidz Club - lead by qualified field guides - providing interactive and nature-based activities while the adults can get some rest. 

Days 5 - 6: Mluwati Concession

Today you transfer to your next lodge in the Kruger National Park. The lodge is ideally situated to enjoy some of Kruger’s most spectacular landscapes and an extraordinary variety of wildlife, birdlife and plant life within the private concession, ensuring that each safari experience will be unique.

Days 7 - 9: Cape Town

Today, you transfer to the airport for your flight to Cape Town - centred around Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of the world, the Mother City is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning biodiversity, award-winning food and wine, and sheer variety of experiences on offer. This will be a great few days to end off your South African itinerary. 

The apartments are self-catering allowing your family flexibility to enjoy in private at 'home' or to venture out to the many nearby restaurants. The apartments are centrally located and overlooks the V&A Waterfront marina.

You have the option to hire a car so that you can move around the city at or we can also arrange for a vehicle + guide over your time to take you to explore the various attractions. 

Day 10: Franschhoek

Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town is the famous Winelands region of the Western Cape.

The guesthouse is in the heart of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley on a historic vineyard and fruit farm. Surrounded by magnificent mountains and only a few minutes from the quaint village of Franschhoek. There are various activities on offer to suit the family. 

Day 11: End of Itinerary

Sat. 10 Aug 2024

Return to the Cape Town International Airport in time for you onward departure. 

If self-driving with a hire car, this is where the car will be returned.
