Day 1: Naples

Today, upon your arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel in Naples. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Tonight you are met and transferred to Cantanapoli Pizzeria. you will learn the art of making pizza where the pie was invented! Naples! - Dinner is included.

At the end you are met and transferred back to your hotel.

Day 2: Naples

Today you will take a ferry to Ischia Island. (1 hour ferry ride)

Get ready to return to the glamorous and relaxed atmosphere of the 50’s and 60’s.  Jump back in time and re-live those Dolce Vita days!  Blend in with the locals, and discover the secrets behind the Italian savoir-faire.
Hop on a traditional three-wheeled Apecalesse - a typical local mean of transportation - and brace yourself for a journey to the past! This is not your usual city tour, but the most authentic way possible to discover the gorgeous Ischia, a volcanic “green” Island adorning the Gulf of Naples. Your local driver is more than happy to show you around this precious town, sprinkling your exciting tour with historical hints, as well as funny anecdotes about daily life and its tradition in Ischia. Sometimes it is nice to sit back and relax and let somebody else drive you around, especially if everywhere you look there are gorgeous sights, colorful tiny houses and characteristic streets full of typical shops. Along the way, you will also be able to take several Insta-worthy pictures with the vintage Polaroid camera at your disposal, as well as try the best coffee in town, savor the milky Mozzarella and sip a glass of refreshing wine!

In the evening, ferry back to Naples.

Today you are met and transferred to Amalfi. On the way to Amalfi, you will make a stopover in Pompeii.

Today you are met and transferred to the Naples Airport on time for your flight to Palermo.

The garden of the villa blends into the landscape of almond and olive trees that surrounds the magnificent millennia-old temples; from here the Temples of Concordia and Juno can be seen on the Terrazza degli Dei, with all the enchantment that this spiritually uplifting place can give. The restaurant with its Chef Salvatore Gambuzza is now part of the exclusive hotelier network and brand of the Italian cuisine: Soste di Ulisse.

Day 7: Agrigento

After breakfast follow your guide for a breathtaking visit of the Archeological Park Valley of The Temples Agrigento.  This was one of the greatest cities of the ancient Mediterranean. Founded as a Greek colony in the 6th century B.C., it became one of the leading cities in the Mediterranean world. Its supremacy is demonstrated by the remains of the magnificent Doric temples, much of which still lie intact and preserved in an exceptional condition. Its great row of Doric temples is one of the most outstanding monuments of Greek art and culture. The area was included in the UNESCO Heritage Site list in 1997. The Valley includes remains of seven Doric temples. You will visit the Temples of Juno, Concord, Castor and Pollux and the Necropolis.

Then arrive at the Kolymebtra Garden a wonderful Mediterranean botanical Garden that was an old Greek water reservoir.  Today, the Kolymbetra Garden, represents an enchanting concentration of the ancient agricultural and natural landscapes of Southern Sicily.  End your walking tour with an amazing picnic lunch. You will enjoy a unique experience in an unexpected location, surrounded by the colors, flavors and scents of Sicily!

Day 8: Syracuse

Enjoy Breakfast at the Hotel and check out.

Transfer to Piazza Armerina to visit the mosaics of the Roman Villa del Casale, named after an agricultural settlement known as casale, or farmhouse, which flourished there in the 15th century. 3,500 square meters of mosaic pavements perfectly intact fill the Roman Villa. It may have been a hunting lodge and somewhere to entertain important guests. The mosaics include a 60-metre-long hunting scene, in which groups of men struggle and sweat as they track down and capture ferocious animals in India and North Africa before transporting them by boat to Rome for gladiator games.

Afterwards, time for lunch at leisure and continue your journey to Siracusa.

Day 9: Syracuse

Breakfast at the hotel.

Then, you will meet the Chef Fiora in Siracusa at Ortigia Island and follow her to the historic open market to buy all the ingredients necessary for the cooking class, which is held in a typical Sicilian house. The dishes you've prepared will be served with the right Sicilian wine and desserts.

Stroll through the city’s picturesque winding streets and elegant piazzas, and admire the treasures on the island of Ortigia—Syracuse’s historical center—medieval and Baroque buildings.

After lunch return to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be picked up by private driver and guide for a pleasant tour and stroll in Noto. Enjoy the baroque buildings and impressive churches. Free time for a granite at leisure at famous Caffè Sicilia.

Then, return at your hotel.

Day 10: Taormina

Breakfast and check out.

Transfer to the Etna volcano. Pick up by Mercedes Minivan and private driver. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the Volcano, discovering one of the greatest adventure tours in Sicily. Not only for the volcanic phenomena, but also for the different kinds of vegetation visible during the ascent.  This volcano has more than 400 craters, split all over the Catania county. The first stop of the tour is Valle del Bove, a wide valley located on the eastern slope of the volcano. Valle del Bove is part of the protected area of the Etna Regional Park.

Proceeding, you will go through old lava flows that date back to 1979 until you reach Mount Fontana, 1300 meters above the sea level. This is a great panoramic point, from which you can admire the majesty of the valley and of the Monti Sartorius.

Lunch will be served at Cottanera Winery, on the Etna North. Cottanera is today one of the most extraordinary companies in Italian and international enology. The vineyards grow over lava stone, 700 meters above sea level on the northern slope of the volcano.

Story tale of the history of Cottanera, description of the territory, tour of the wine cellar, of the “barriccaia” and finally a walk along the vineyard. Taste of Cottanera private collection of dated wine. Our guests will taste two among our more representative wine: Etna bianco DOC from District “Calderara” (2014-2015) and Etna rosso DOC from District “Zottorinotto” (2012-2013).

 The taste will be served with a lunch/dinner of three dishes cooked according to the traditional recipes of the family. Sweet and coffee.

 After lunch continue towards Taormina. Accommodation and enjoy your time at leisure.

Day 11: Taormina

Breakfast in hotel and at 10.00 a.m. meet (at hotel Timeo hall) your guide for a private 2h walking tour along its narrow streets filled with handicrafts, embroidery and antique shops.

The Greeks founded Taormina in 358 B.C.  Later, it was occupied by the Romans before falling into Byzantine hands.

The little town is located on the East coast of Sicily, overlooking the Ionian Sea.

Taormina is called the “Pearl of the Mediterranean” for several reasons: nestled on Mount Tauro, it offers the beauty of Mediterranean architecture while surrounded by endless magnificent views of both sea and mountains. Thanks to its high position, Taormina offers visitors a breathtaking experience through its surreal panoramic views and overall atmosphere. From its Greek theatre you can admire the bay of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna.  Afternoon will be at leisure.

  • The Corso Umberto. Flanked on both sides by a succession of luxury boutiques, clothes, jewellery,  and souvenirs, it makes you understand why Taormina’s nickname is “the Sicilian Saint Tropez”.
  •  Piazza IX Aprile. It’s the perfect place to take beautiful photos, especially at sunset.

  • Public garden – Villa Comunale. To get away from the crowds, don’t hesitate to visit the Villa Comunale, which houses a large public garden.
  •  Greek Theatre of Taormina. It dates from the 3rd century BC and is remarkably well preserved. It can accommodate more than 5,000 people and is home to theatrical performances and concerts.
  •   Castelmola. Located 5km from Taormina, the small village of Castelmola is worth a visit for its ruined medieval castle and its charming little streets
      

Day 13: End of Itinerary

Pick up by your private driver. Today you will be taken to Catania airport (1 hour drive) for your departing flight home or to your next destination.
