Day 1: Hobart

Arrive in Tasmania’s capital city, Hobart and transfer to your accommodation. Enjoy a day at leisure in Hobart. You might like to allow time to stroll through Hobart’s legendary Salamanca Markets and visit one of Tasmania’s many attractions, MONA. The Museum of Old & New Art is one of the world’s most unique and controversial museums. View the largest private art collection in Australia with its fascinating blend of ancient and modern art.

Day 2: Hobart

The Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur Historic Site are some of Tasmania’s most visited destinations. Tasmania’s famous convict settlement site features many attractions and our experienced guide will bring its history alive. Visit the famous geological features of the peninsula as you explore the rugged coastline. In the afternoon, meet Tasmanian’s enigmatic character, the Tasmanian Devil before returning to Hobart.

Day 3: Freycinet National Park

Enjoy a scenic drive along Tasmania’s East Coast to the Freycinet Peninsula, with its exceptional beauty, pristine white sandy beaches and granite coastline. Explore the unsurpassed beauty of the Freycinet National Park. Take an interpreted walk to the world famous Wineglass Bay lookout for some stunning photo opportunities. A shorter cliff top walk around the lighthouse at Cape Tourville is also on offer.

Day 4: Cradle Mountain

Continue your journey to Launceston for an introductory tour to Tasmania’s largest northern city; explore the scenic Cataract Gorge where the Tamar River forces its way through sheer rocky cliffs. Enjoy lunch at an award winning winery. After lunch leave Launceston and travel to UNESCO World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park.

Day 5: End of Itinerary

Today, your guide will introduce you to the many endemic fauna and flora species of the region, whilst enjoying picturesque views of the spectacular craggy peaks of Cradle Mountain. After lunch, start your return journey to Launceston where your guide will bid you farewell. 
NOTE: This tour concludes at approximately 3:45pm in Launceston. (It is recommended to book departing flights after 5.15pm)
