Day 1: Windhoek

You will arrive at the international airport Hosea Kutako. You will be welcomed by an  African Footprints Tours Cc rep who will give you all the required documentation and assist you with the handover of your car.

Day 2: Kalahari Namibia

Today you will start your tour! You will head south, via Rehoboth, to reach the  Kalahari desert. Here you will give your creativity free reign by taking pictures of the first amazing red dunes!

Day 3: Sossusvlei

Your tour will start heading south west to reach the Namib desert.  The main attraction is the impressive Sossusvlei pan. It was formed when the migrations of the dunes interrupted the riverflow of the Tsauchab. Surrounded by majestic star and wave shaped dunes, this pan and the dunes offer a breathtaking landscape at sunrise. The pan can be dry also for a decade, but after big floods it is able to store this water for almost one year. Nearby you will admire  Dead Vlei, with its soil made of clay and its petrified acacia trees pointed towards the sky. Sesriem owes its name to the 30m deep canyon digged by the Tsauchab river.

Day 4: Sossusvlei

You will wake up at dawn to visit the tallest dunes in the world that at sunrise take on wonderful and magic colors. In the afternoon, if you want to, you can join the several activities offered by the lodge.

Day 5: Swakopmund

You will arrive in Swakopmund, a coastal town founded by German coloners in 1892 that with its relaxing and pleasant vibe has been established as the holiday destination of the country.  Its streets are still named after its historic heritage. Its most remarkabe buildings are Woermann House, the old train station, The Law Court.

Day 6: Swakopmund

Today you will be either relaxing on the beach, explore the town, or just simply enjoy some fun activities, as Swakopmund is popular for its varied range of options:  skydiving, sandboarding, quadbiking, horseriding in the desert, airbaloon trips, scenic flights! There is plenty of choice! 

Day 7: Twyfelfontein

You will drive towards north to reach Damaraland. You can pass by Cape Cross to watch sea lions and then continue through Skeleton Coast.

Day 8: Twyfelfontein

Today you will visit  Twyfelfontein,  the historic and important Unesco world heritage site , where you will admire the old bushmen artrock.  The burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest are some other sites that you can visit. 

Day 9: South Etosha

You will continue via Khorixas and Outjo to reach the Anderson Gate of the Etosha National Park where you will start your adventure in the animal world.

Day 10: South Etosha

You will leave early in the morning to explore the Etosha National Park. You will stop by the several waterholes that give relief to the thirsty animals, and you will be amazed at the magic of this park.

Day 11: Est Etosha

You will spend some more time watching game and wildlife populating , while you head east to exit through the Von Lindequist Gate. You will notice how dramatic is the transformation of the landscape during the transfer.

Day 12: Otjiwarongo

You will leave Etosha behind while moving south.

Day 13: End of Itinerary

You will arrive in time for your return flight.
