Deep Amazon Kayak Tour

Day 1: Orellana Province

Yasuni National Park: An early flight takes you to the city of Coca. Once you arrive, you take a scenic drive to the Tiputini River at the entrance of Yasuni National Park. The first kayaking expedition will be paddling down this fantastic river surrounded by nature and wildlife. Usually you will be able to spot river turtles, monkeys, caimans and many species of birds. Once we arrive, we set-up the campsite and rest after dinner.

Day 2: Orellana Province

Kayaking and wildlife encounter: After an early breakfast, continue your kayaking exploration, heading deeper into the jungle. You will encounter various species native to the forest, such as monkeys, capybara, tapir, flycatchers, herons, and you will also learn about local plants and their medicinal properties. Head back to the camp for a special gournet dinner and rest.

Day 3: Orellana Province

Anaconda Lagoon exploration: Early wakeup call and breakfast. The day starts navigating by canoe down the Tiputini River (Anaconda Lagoon in native language) and with luck you may see this amazing snake species. You will also enjoy the landscapes in this flooded forest. You can also spot piranhas, caimans, boas and more. Then you will canoe back to the camp site, and after a brief break you will go on a night exploration to view insects, frogs and possibly some snakes.

Day 4: Orellana Province

Kichwa Community: In the morning you will begin with a hike in the pristine forest to learn about the rich flora of the area and the medicinal plants that can be found there. After lunch, you will take a canoe ride to a local Kichwa Community to learn about their customs and traditions, you will also participate in the elaboration of the traditional drink called chicha. In the late afternoon you will go fishing . Accommodation and dinner at camp.

Day 5: End of Itinerary

Clay Lick: Early wakeup call to visit a parrot clay lick, where there is a big concentration of different species of parrots and macaws that go there to feed on the clay from the mineral enriched ground, to help them digest and detoxify from the poison of their main fruit diet. After this activity you will be transferred to Coca to fly back to Quito.
