Welcome to the Cape Town, affectionately called the Mother City. You will be met at the airport by your guide and taken to your hotel. In the evening we have dinner together and go over the tour details and meet your fellow riders.

Day 2: Cape Town

In the morning after breakfast we get our bikes and head out to explore the Cape Peninsula. Enjoy the gentle curves as you follow the road along both the Atlantic and False Bay coastline. This road also takes us over Chapman’s Peak, one of the most beautiful coastal drives to experience with a towering mountain on one side and sheer cliff face down to the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Visit Cape Point nature reserve and then continue on to Red Hill Road with stunning views of False Bay. We stop for lunch and then continue back to Cape Town via the Constantia Wine Route.

Day 3: Breede River Valley

We leave behind the hustle and bustle of Cape Town and follow the backroads to Paarl from where we explore the Bains kloof pass before heading over the Du Toits kloof to the Drakenstein valley. . The road takes us through the famous Cape Winelands through the fruitful valley of Franschhoek. After lunch we take the spectacular Franschhoek Pass, enjoy the dramatic views of towering mountains and deep gorges. Tonight we stay in the charming town of Robertson, in the shadow of the Langeberg Mountains.

Day 4: Prince Albert

Today we start to see the difference between the green and fruitful wine region and the magic of the wide open arid looking Karoo. The locals call this “big blue sky country” for a very good reason. Drive through charming little towns and enjoy the drastic landscape and big open roads. This includes some of the epic mountain passes of the area as well as the highest paved road in the Western Cape. . We stop in the historic town of Matjiesfontein for lunch and a little exploring. The afternoon brings a lovely ride to the quaint little town of Prince Albert with crisp clear air and star filled skies at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains.

Day 5: Wilderness

After enjoying breakfast we head out to explore the well-known Swartberg mountain range.  Our journey takes us through the impressive Meiringspoort where riders are surrounded by towering cliffs whilst enjoying the tight curves carved out by mother nature over millennia. This route takes us into the Klein Karoo and then over the Outeniqua mountains into the heart of the Garden Route.  The latter recently named one of the top regions to visit in the World. There is plenty of time in the afternoon to explore this lovely coastal area with its spectacular natural beauty of the indigenous forests, rivers, rolling hills and white sandy beaches.

Day 6: Wilderness

A day of leisure to enjoy the white sandy beaches of Wilderness or head out and explore the nearby town of Knysna on the Garden Route, recently named one of the top destinations to visit in the World. There is plenty of time to explore the area today.  Take a ride out to Knysna and explore this lovely coastal town with its spectacular natural beauty of the indigenous forests, rivers, rolling hills.  Alternatively, the more adventurous riders can explore the Seven Passes Road which is part paved part gravel and follows the foothills of the Outeniqua mountains all the way to Knysna.

Day 7: Cape Agulhas

Our journey includes some boulevard cruising along the N2 for most of the morning.  After a brief stop in Mossel Bay, we continue along the N2 and pass by numerous smaller villages before arriving the historic town of Swellendam.  Swellendam, with its beautifully restored Cape Dutch buildings, is the ideal lunch stop.   Tonight, we reside in the tranquil coastal village of Cape Agulhas.  The origin of the name is not entirely sure, but Agulhas rose to prominence because it is here where the Indian and Atlantic Ocean meet.  It is southernmost tip of Africa, it’s here where a stone plaque that marks the place, where you can stand with one leg on the Indian and the other on the Atlantic side.

Day 8: Cape Town

In the morning we leave this gorgeous little fishing village and continue our journey along the Overberg region driving past vast stretches of farmland. The Overberg region is the barley basket of South Africa.  In the winter months vast stretches of the region is covered in lush canola fields surrounded by the distant rugged mountain ranges and indigenous fynbos. From Napier we head back to the coastline to explore Walker Bay and Hermanus.  After feeding our coffee cravings we continue along the coastal route to Betty’s Bay.  Here we visit the protected African penguin colony at Stony Point.  The tranquil surroundings and easily accessible board walks creates the ideal vibe to view these comical creates in their natural environment.  From here we join Clarence Drive back to Cape Town.  Clarens Drive, snuggly following the foothills of the Hottentot-Hollands mountains in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, is a motorcyclists dream route.  Its curves and superb road surface with the mountains to the north and False Bay to the south has it all.  This pass is a splendid to end our journey and prepare for our last night together. Tonight we have a wonderful dinner to say farewell to new friends and this incredible country we experienced.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

Today is the end of your journey and there is a transfer to the airport for your flight home.
