With natural wood and copper finishes, the organic features of the bush fuse perfectly with the deluxe style. Kudhinda, the Zimbabwean national material, is thoughtfully paired with some more modern decor creating an authentic contemporary African fusion. At the edge of the expansive deck in the main area, sits an elephant pool which is frequented by elephant families, which is a true highlight at this beautiful camp.

Your guide will show you the hidden spots best for game viewing and give you an insider’s knowledge. With years of experience our African Bush Camps guides are known for being some of the best in the business.

Of course, if you want to experience a safari a little bit more personal, then a walking safari has to be for you. Awaken your senses and discover all that the bush has to offer on a walking safari. Accompanied by one of our experienced walking guides, explore the wild for one to two hours. For a full day walking safari, a private walking guide will need to be pre-booked with us.

Day 3: Southern Hwange National Park

The day is at your leisure to enjoy the camp and its activities that it has to offer.

For some more activity ideas, if you are an avid bird watcher, then you've got to check out the activity of bird watching. Hwange National Park offers some of Zimbabwe’s best birding. Delight in the call of the racket-tailed roller or the kori bustard, and photograph the majestic Martial eagle. Or simply sit back and enjoy their beautiful songs.

If learning about customs and culture is more your thing, then we recommend visiting some of the local communities and learning more about their ways of life. Working together with the communities located in the areas surrounding where they operate gives locals an opportunity to be self-sustainable. By sharing knowledge there has been a decrease in the human-wildlife conflict. Take the opportunity to visit the locals and become accustomed to their way of life.

Day 4: Matusadona National Park

You will be picked up and transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Kariba, where you will get transferred to the camp for your next stay at Changa Safari Camp.

Day 5: Matusadona National Park

The day is at your leisure to enjoy the camp and its activities that it has to offer.

There is a big selection of activities to be done here. We've suggested some below for you to get your teeth into and to begin creating more memories.

Game Walks can be one of the best ways to experience and feel a part of the African bush. Our professional guides have expert knowledge of the area and accompanied by them, you can be introduced to the Matusadona National Park in a completely different way. Walks are best in the early mornings or late afternoons when it is not too hot.

For something a little different, if you like exploring, we recommend checking out the Sanyati Gorge, a short boat ride across the lake will bring you to the scenic Sanyati Gorge, where you can meander peacefully through the steep cliffs for up to 10 km. The Sanyati Gorge is both unspoilt and undisturbed with an abundance of birdlife, the occasional sighting of antelope and great fishing.

Day 6: Mana Pools National Park

You will be picked up and Transferred to the airstrip for your shared light aircraft flight to Mana Pools, then you will be transferred to the camp for your next stay at the Ruckomechi Camp.

Situated in a large private concession in the heart of the Zambezi Valley’s Mana Pools National Park, Ruckomechi looks out from the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. It is a remote, beautiful place with spectacular views of the broad flowing river, the adjacent woodland and the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment.

Day 7: Mana Pools National Park

The day is at your leisure to enjoy the camp and its activities that it has to offer.

For some activity suggestions, if you are into your fishing, then try your hand at catching one of the most iconic of fresh water game fish: the tiger fish. Ten-pound plus tigers are a common catch on the waters of Kariba and the Lower Zambezi.

If fishing isn't your thing, but you still love the water, then why not try canoeing/kayaking as an activity, it's more of an adventurous option to see the large numbers of waterbirds and other wildlife that are attracted to the river and seasonal pans. You can of course, opt to a speed boat down the river if you don't feel like getting to wet.

Day 8: Mana Pools National Park

The day is at your leisure to enjoy the camp and its activities that it has to offer.

For some more activity ideas, we highly recommend a Game Drive, both at day & night to get the most out of the experience as some animals are more active at night and less during the day due to the heat.

Another suggestion for getting closer to nature and becoming a a bit of an African explorer are walking safaris. For those wishing for an intensely personal experience in the Okavango Delta walking safaris offer a unique way of exploring the delta. The emphasis is on guided walks which allow guests to focus on learning how to track wildlife and understand animal movement, patterns and behaviour. Being on foot rather than in a vehicle allows guests to gain in-depth information on trees, grasses and the finer details.
