Kick off your journey with a comfortable pickup from Johannesburg between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. Reach Pilanesberg around 9 AM and dive into a 3-hour morning game drive in an open safari vehicle— ideal for spotting lions, elephants, and more!

By midday, arrive at the beautiful Kwa Maritane Lodge for a tasty lunch and easy check-in. Relax, take in the scenery, or lounge by the pool before heading out for a 4 PM to 7 PM openvehicle sunset game drive with MoAfrika Tours, soaking up epic sunsets and wildlife wonders.

Return for a delicious African dinner at the lodge.

Rise early for a 3-hour morning game drive conducted by Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge in their 20-seater open safari vehicles (returning around 9:00 AM). This satisfies the lodge’s requirement of at least one lodge-operated drive per night stayed, while giving you another excellent opportunity to spot wildlife. After the drive, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge.

Check out by 11:00 AM and spend the rest of the morning relaxing at Kwa Maritane’s fantastic facilities—lounge by the pool, book a spa treatment, or enjoy lunch (at own expense). Our standard shared shuttle transfer collects guests between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM for the return journey to Johannesburg, with drop-off between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

For added flexibility or more safari time, you may choose one of the following options (R1,500 per person):

• Private transfer back to Johannesburg, departing at a time that suits you.
• Additional 3-hour open-vehicle game drive (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM) conducted by MoAfrika Tours in our intimate 10-seater open safari vehicles, with lunch included—a perfect way to extend your wildlife experience before heading home.
