Upon your arrival, after passing through immigration and customs, please proceed to the exit of the airport terminal. There, you will find a travel representative waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it.

Private transfer to San Jose town.

In the early evening join your guide for an orientation briefing where you will have the opportunity to get an overview of the following day’s activities, ask questions to prepare for the trip.

Day 2: Arenal Volcano National Park

 Meet your  bilingual naturalist guide at the front desk and he will drive you to Arenal Volcano.

Transfer to Arenal Volcano  for  3 hours

Danaus Ecocenter Walk  

Highlights: Butterfly Garden with colorful species. Chance to see poison frogs, sloths, and many tropical birds! A conservation project. Maleku Indian handmade crafts.  

Enjoy a nature walk at Danaus Ecocenter, a small but important biological reserve. The one-and-a-half-hour trail winds through the forest which is home to myriad birds and butterflies, several slow-moving sloths, and other curious creatures.  

 Stop for lunch at Arenal Vida Campesina Organic Farm Tour 

Lunch includes a hands-on demonstration on tortilla making! Opportunity to share time with a farmer and taste locally grown products!

Night Walk Arenal Observatory
 During this night tour with your expert guide, you will discover the little-known nocturnal life of the tropical rainforest walking. A wonderful place to listen for jungle residents like frogs, toads, and insects! Keep your eye out for sleeping lizards and spiders, and try to spot bats, sleeping birds, or active owls. With luck you’ll find nocturnal animals, like sloths, kinkajous, pacas, or armadillos!

Day 3: Arenal Volcano National Park

Private Arenal Observatory  Nature & Hiking Trails

Enjoy a half-day walk at the Arenal Observatory Lodge trail system and hanging bridges, considered by our guides one of the best places for wildlife viewing in La Fortuna. Walk the trails, climb the 28-meter observatory tower, and explore the new volcano visitor center. With luck, we will spy a variety of wildlife who call this reserve home from monkey troops to myriad hummingbirds.

In the afternoon visit Arenal Hanging Bridges

​​​Highlights: Excellent birdwatching and wildlife sightings. Amazing lookouts to the volcano! 

Enjoy a half day tour at the Arenal Hanging Bridges. This 5 km/3 mile rainforest tour leads visitors across 10 hanging bridges in the canopy of the rainforest and boasts an incredible up-close-and-personal interaction with the flora and fauna found here.  Meander the trails and bridges with a keen eye on the lookout for monkeys, butterflies, and colorful birds.

 Later you will have a blast splashing in the warm, you will visit the Hot Springs and enjoy attractive tropical gardens,   you will relax after your adventures in the Arenal area at the natural hot springs thermal with mineral waters,  This evening enjoy the dinner at hot springs.

Day 4: Tortuguero National Park

 Early Land and boat transfer to your hotel in Tortuguero on the Caribbean Coast, stopping en route for a hearty Costa Rican breakfast (approximately 4 hours transfer). On arrival to La Pavona docks, you will board your boat for a shared transfer towards your hotel in Tortuguero.

After the adventure you will be ready for a delicious and relaxed lunch featuring typical Caribbean dishes like Casado. You must try it! 

In the afternoon, visit Tortuguero village 

This evening dinner is included at the hotel,  the creative chef at the hotel is known for fresh and flavorful dishes.

Tortuguero and its labyrinth and network of natural waterways give the visitor the opportunity to experience the true rainforest experience, the dream of exploring dense and endless jungles, full of flora and fauna without getting off the boat and walking through muddy trails.

Highlights:  National Park is known as Costa Rica’s "little Amazon".
