Early morning transfer to Sabi Sabi Airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit. You will be assisted with check in for your scheduled flight on to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival in Livingstone you will be met and transferred by road to the Royal Livingstone Hotel and assisted with check in for your one-night stay.
This charming colonial town, named after the legendary Victorian missionary and explorer Dr David Livingstone, was once the bustling capital of Zambia. Established in 1905 as the country’s key European settlement, it enjoyed the excellent facilities synonymous with high society – the town still boasts the elegant Edwardian architecture of this era. Today, Livingstone acts as Zambia’s adventure gateway, as it is conveniently situated near the mighty Zambezi River and the breath-taking Victoria Falls.
This afternoon enjoy a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Heed the call of Africa while sipping traditional cocktails and enjoying delicious snacks in the fading twilight hours on this fabulous two-hour cruise. Livingstone– Okavango Delta
After breakfast you will be driven back to Livingstone Airport for your flight to Kasane, Botswana to clear customs.
On arrival in Kasane, you will be met by a representative for your light aircraft flight to the Okavango Delta.
Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met and transferred to Vumbura Plains Camp, you will be welcomed and assisted with a check in for your two-night stay.
Then enjoy a late afternoon tea before you embark on your afternoon adventure.
Returning to the camp for a mouth-watering dinner under African skies.

Highlights

The annually flooded grasslands of the Okavango Delta surrounding Vumbura Plains are locally referred to as 'melapo' and offer good seasonal viewing of elephant, giraffe, impala, sable antelope, kudu, zebra, common waterbuck and reedbuck, tsessebe, wildebeest, red lechwe and Cape buffalo. Hippo and crocodile are common in the waterways. Predators include the African wild dog, several resident prides of lion, as well as leopard, cheetah and African wildcat. Birding is exceptional all year round.
Due to the location, Vumbura Plains offers both land- and water-based game-viewing activities.
Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game drives are offered in open 4x4 Land Rovers each accommodating a maximum of seven people allowing each guest a 'window' seat.
Night Drives
Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you might not see during the day.
Mokoro Excursions
There is no better way of viewing game and exploring the Okavango than by traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). These excursions reveal the fascinating smaller creatures of the Delta including colourful frogs and lively water birds.
Boating
Water-level dependent, boating is another idyllic form of water wildlife viewing. Vumbura has two boats seating six guests comfortably.
Nature Walks
On request, and depending on qualified guide availability, nature walks with skilled guides are wonderful ways of getting close to nature and observing the smaller things you miss when travelling by vehicle.
