Day 1: Entebbe

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport where your Uganda Adventure Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities.  Your will then be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your adventure safari.

Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed on this day and time allowing you may go for city tour with the help of our driver/guide, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages to get items which you may need while in upcountry. You may visit the Botanical gardens at a supplement of $10 per person or visit the Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre at a supplement of $15 per person or a cheese and wine sundowner on Lake Victoria at a supplement  of $85 per person

Day 2: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

Early morning after breakfast transfer to Entebbe Airport to catch a domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip. The flight takes approximately one hour. You will be met by our representative who will transfer you to the lodge  and you will have lunch at the lodge.

Relax at the lodge or take an unguided walk around the lodge to enjoy the beauty of the scenery.

Day 3: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

After breakfast at your lodge, transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee  Habituation  experience in Kibale Forest National Park which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. Therefore, you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins as they gloom and bond with one another. With the chimps habituation you will be gone for the Whole day. You will have a packed lunch with you.

Day 4: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After breakfast,  you will be transferred to Kasese Airstrip to catch your  flight to  Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. On arrival, your guide will be waiting for you to be transferred to your  lodge.You will arrive in time for  lunch.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and contain almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” is home to half of the remaining Mountain Gorillas in the world. After lunch, you can either relax at the lodge or do some optional activities.

It has breath taking scenery, luxurious ambience that will ensure a comfortable stay and a relaxing atmosphere after a strenuous Gorilla tracking. The lodge is conveniently located few minutes away from the Gorilla Trekking starting point making it unnecessary for early rising.

Day 5: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast, move into the forest and start trekking the mountain gorillas. Coming face to face with the largest primates is a memorable adventurous experience that can never be forgotten. Gorilla Trekking  in Bwindi involves trekking up steep muddy and densely forested slopes so it may require some level of fitness. - the only forest in Africa which can make this claim. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. The gorillas you trek belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day.
The time taken to trek the gorillas can be as few as 3 hours to as many as 7 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience.

Return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers before getting a good night’s rest for tomorrow's safari adventure.

 

Don’t forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and water proof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain

Day 6: End of Itinerary

After an ultimate Gorilla & Chimps experience and beautiful scenes you will be transferred early morning to Kisoro Airstrip to catch a domestic flight  back to Entebbe Airport( Arrival at 11:25am) where you will catch your onward flight back to your next destination.
