Days 1 - 2: Dinaka Private Reserve

On arrival into Maun Airport, a representative holding a signboard with your name will meet and welcome you. After collecting your luggage, you will be escorted to the light charter aircraft for a flight into the great expanse of the Kalahari Desert into the Dinaka Airstrip where on arrival you will be met by your guide who will transfer you on an open safari vehicle to camp.

Activities
Situated alongside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the focus of activities at Dinaka is exploring the Kalahari experience with wildlife ranging from giraffe to the antelope, small mammals like the honey badger, bat-eared fox and porcupine to predators including the Kalahari lion, cheetah, leopard and brown hyena. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Our window seat guarantee ensures no more than four guests per vehicle when out on game drives. Alternatively, you may get more up close and personal with nature on foot with guided bush walks. Birding is particularly spectacular as Dinaka hosts over 200 different bird species including the Kori Bustard and Crimson Breasted Shrike and a high concentration of Pale Chanting Goshawks.

Days 3 - 4: Okavango Delta

After breakfast and a morning activity (time permitting), it’s time to transfer back to the airstrip to board the light aircraft and enjoy a scenic flight where you will witness the Kalahari Desert transform into the Okavango Delta right before your eyes! On arrival, you will be met at the Kanana Airstrip by your guide and from there it is a short road transfer to camp.

Attractions at Kanana
Situated on a private concession that allows guided walks, mokoro excursions, and night drives in addition to game drives and motor boating (water levels permitting).
Private access to one of the largest heronry’s in the Okavango Delta by motorboat.
Excellent area for birding with regular sightings of Pel’s Fishing Owl.
Spin fishing throughout the year (best months September - April).

Days 5 - 6: Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast and a morning activity (time permitting) is transfer back to the airstrip to board the light aircraft and enjoy a scenic flight across the Okavango Delta to the Moremi Game Reserve. You will be met at the Xakanaxa Airstrip by your guide and from there it is a short road transfer to Okuti.

Attractions at Okuti
Okuti offers one of the best value safari experiences in the Moremi/Okavango region of Botswana with excellent year round game viewing as Moremi Game Reserve has widely varied habitats supporting a huge variety of wildlife and is a protected area.
Okuti is ideal for families and has two family rooms available. Okuti accepts children from the age of 7 years and up all year round as the nature of the activities are safe for children (game drives and boating only).
Okuti can accommodate clients wishing to self drive (in 4WD) into Moremi Game Reserve, offering an adventure and an alternative to flying.

Days 7 - 8: Okavango Delta

After breakfast and a morning activity (time permitting) is transfer back to the airstrip to board the light aircraft.  On arrival, you will be met at the Shinde Airstrip by your guide and from there it is a short road transfer to Camp.

Attractions at Shinde
Situated on a private concession that allows guided walks, mokoro excursions, and night drives in addition to game drives and motor boating (both water and land activities year-round).
An excellent location in the delta with permanent water for year-round water activities as well as large dry areas for game drive routes, this combination provides the habitat for a wide variety of wildlife found consistently in the area.
Included in the wide variety of game found at Shinde, there are regular sightings of the rarely spotted sitatunga antelope.
Fly or spin fishing throughout the year - variety of species such as tilapia and tigerfish (best months September - April).
Shinde is a delightful luxury honeymoon option in the delta where guests are accommodated in the honeymoon tent and enjoy some special touches including the option of private breakfast, days can be taken at a slightly more relaxed pace than a normal safari routine!

Day 9: End of Itinerary

After breakfast and a morning activity (time permitting), you will transfer by plane to Maun for your onward flight.
