Day 1: Pretoria

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be met by a local representative and escorted to the vehicle for your transfer to Zebra Nature Reserve. En route to the lodge enjoy a visit to the  Voortrekker Monument and Union Buildings.

Upon arrival at Zebra Nature Reserve check in, relax and freshen up before enjoying the lodge's amenities.

Comfortable country living in a tranquil setting has never been more accessible. This 400ha nature reserve and country retreat, with a variety of general game, is located only a thirty minutes’ drive North-East of Pretoria.

Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 2: The Waterberg Biosphere

After your leisurely breakfast, embark on a Nature Walk as well as a visit to the Reptile Center. On the walk, you will have the opportunity of coming up close to some of South Africa’s amazing wildlife – great for photography. Various species of game, including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and antelope can be viewed.

After exploring the lodge, check out and continue your journey to Honeyguide Ranger Camp.

Upon arrival at Honeyguide Ranger Camp check in, relax and freshen up before enjoying lunch (time permitting) and thereafter embarking on an afternoon game drive.

Dinner will be served at the camp

Overnight at Honeyguide Ranger Camp

Transfer time: Approximately 2hours 20minutes drive from Zebra Nature Reserve to Honeyguide Ranger Camp. The distance is about 181 km.

Day 3: The Waterberg Biosphere

Honeyguide's Ranger Camp's  daily program proceeds as follows...

05h30:   Guests are awoken with the beating of traditional drums.  Tea / coffee is then served to each tent before guests meet at reception to go on their game drive.

06h00:   Morning game drive – duration 3 hours approx.  Snack & tea / coffee offered during the game drive.

09h30:   Breakfast.  During the course of breakfast, guests will be offered the opportunity of partaking in a Bush Walk with a ranger/s pending the number of pax interested.  The Bush Walk is strictly for persons aged 16 years and older.

14h00:   Lunch.

16h00:  Afternoon game drive – duration 3 hours approx.  Snack & soft drinks, tea / coffee offered during the game drive.

20h00  Dinner.  This is a plated meal with the guests sitting outside (weather dependent) and having a communal dinner with other guests & the rangers.  The chef will present the menu to all guests once seated.

Guests can choose to participate in the daily activities, experience optional activities and/or relax at the lodge.

Day 4: The Waterberg Biosphere

Day 5: End of Itinerary

After your scumptious breakfast check out and continue your journey to OR Tambo International Airport via a brief visit to Soweto.  

Upon arrival in Soweto,  you will stop at a local restaurant for a light lunch (own account) before the start of  your Soweto tour.

Soweto is  one of the biggest black urban settlement in Africa with a rich political history. Soweto was the centre of political campaigns aimed at the overthrow of the Apartheid state. The 1976 student uprising started in Soweto and spread to the rest of the country. Many of the insights on this route therefore have political significance

Transfer time: Approximately 3hours 10minutes drive from Honeyguide Ranger Camp to Soweto. The distance is about 277km.

After your Soweto Tour,  transfer to OR Tambo International Airport for your onward journey.
