Day 1: Galaxy Sirius

Upon arrival at Baltra airport, your naturalist guide will meet you.

In Black Turtle Cove, you’ll explore shallow channels and small coves by dinghy, surrounded by lush mangrove forests. The cove is named for the abundance of green sea turtles). This area is a crucial mating site for turtles and a nursery for reef sharks and rays.

You’ll also spot herons, pelicans, and boobies hunting schools of anchovies.

Day 2: Galaxy Sirius

You’ll visit Rabida, known for its red lava rocks and beach, home to a colony of sea lions. You can spot ducks, stilts, and flamingos at the saltwater lagoon. The inland trail offers views of the beach and lagoon, with Darwin finches, flycatchers, and mockingbirds. Along the cliffs, look for Nazca and blue-footed boobies, brown noddies, and both sea lion species.

You’ll visit Chinese Hat, a small islet with a perfect volcanic cone. The blue waters and coral sand beaches, surrounded by lava rocks, create a tropical setting where you may find penguins resting. The shore trail passes through a small sea lion colony.

Day 3: Galaxy Sirius

You’ll visit Seymour Island, home to large colonies of magnificent and great frigatebirds, where you can watch them display their red balloons to attract mates. Blue-footed boobies nest on the ground and perform their famous dance, while swallow-tailed gulls perch on the cliffs. Land iguanas are common inland, and their marine cousins bask on the rocks by the sea, alongside sea lions that love to body surf in the waves.

You’ll visit the Highlands green and cool area with tall trees and soft hills. Here, giant tortoises walk around freely in the wild. You might also see small birds like finches and red flycatchers in the trees. You can explore lava tunnels, long caves formed by volcanoes a long time ago.

Day 4: Galaxy Sirius

You’ll hike through Sullivan Bay, a fascinating landscape shaped by volcanic activity. As you walk across a well-preserved Pahoehoe lava flow, you'll have the chance to observe the unique textures of this rare lava type, found in only a few places in the world.

At first glance, the barren terrain seems lifeless, but if you look closely, you'll spot pioneer plants, lava lizards, and small birds. By the shore, penguins, pelicans, and oystercatchers are often seen.

You’ll visit Bartolome, one of the most iconic spots in the Galapagos, where you can see penguins 

The island offers stunning views of Pinnacle Rock, located near a beautiful peach-colored sand beach. The hike to the top rewards you with breathtaking views of lunar landscapes, scattered volcanic cones, and distant islands, including a great view of Sullivan Bay and Pinnacle Rock.

Day 5: Galaxy Sirius

You’ll visit El Barranco, located on the southern part of Darwin Bay at Genovesa Island. The cliffs here are made of fragile, fractured lava, creating the perfect environment for storm petrels to nest. This attracts short-eared owls that prey on the birds. Along the trail, you'll encounter abundant red-footed and Nazca boobies. At the base of the cliffs, look for Galapagos fur seals resting in the shade, as well as various seabird species.

Genovesa is a paradise for birdwatchers, home to large colonies of seabirds. As soon as you step onto the beach, you'll be surrounded by the calls of boobies, gulls, and frigatebirds. The trail offers an incredible wildlife experience, with sea lions and marine iguanas by the shore, and night herons, lava and swallow-tailed gulls, Darwin finches, Galapagos doves, and mockingbirds inland.

Day 6: End of Itinerary

Located on the outskirts of Puerto Baquerizo, this center focuses on the history of human presence in the Galapagos, from the early Spanish explorers to modern times, including notable visitors like Charles Darwin. The permanent exhibition highlights the challenges and struggles faced by the first settlers as they tried to survive in the harsh Galapagos environment.

Afterward, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
