You are welcomed by your driver and transferred to your first accommodation.
Your hotel is located in the leafy suburb of Melrose, a short ride away from Sandton, so you can head into the hustle and bustle ifyou please or just kick back beside the sparkling swimming pool.
This morning, you are being transferred back to JNB Airport, from where you will fly to MQP Airport (flight not included). A transfer service will bring you to your safari destination for the following days.
On arrival at the lodge lunch is served before checking in to your room.
At around 3:30pm, everyone gathers for a decadent high tea, before heading out with your Ranger for the afternoon game drive through the reserve in open 4x4 safari vehicles. En route, you’ll stop for a sundowner drink and will have a chance to stretch your legs.
As darkness falls, the nocturnal animals of the bush come out. The skilled tracker will scan the landscape using a spotlight, which illuminates animals’ eyes. A variety of completely different species can be seen on the night drive back to the lodge.
Arrival is at the lodge is usually around 7pm, allowing time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.
Distance MQP to Ulusaba: 106km, about 2 hours driving time
The day starts with an early wake-up call between 5am and 5:30am. Tea, coffee and rusks are enjoyed together before heading out at first light. Halfway through the game drive, there’s a stop for hot drinks and snacks, before returning to the lodge at around 9am for a full breakfast.
On the return to the lodge, a hearty breakfast is enjoyed in the lodge dining room. After breakfast take a nature walk with your Ranger, relax around the pool or enjoy a spa treatment or one of the many activities the lodge has on offer for your account.
Throughout the day, it’s likely you will see wildlife around the lodge – nyala antelope and vervet monkeys are frequent visitors, though seeing some of the Big Five is also not uncommon.
In the late afternoon guests head out for the evening safari.
After an exciting time in the wild, you are being transferred back to the airport in Nelspruit from where you fly to Cape Town (Flight not included).
Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel, for a nice 4 days stay in the "Mother City".

Your guide will point out various land marks, e.g. Company Gardens, Houses of Parliament, Greenmarket Square, Jewish Museum and SA Museum.
You will also enjoy a visit to the Bo-Kaap area of Cape Town, formerly known as the Malay Quarter.
We take a short break at Greenmarket Square, the oldest market in the city. Set on a cobbled square between Short and Long Market Streets you will find Capetonians buying their clothing, jewellery, sandals, crafts and nick-nacks as they have done for years.
Transfer to the base of Table Mountain, from where you will board the famous rotating Table Mountain Cableway to reach the summit of Cape Town’s landmark. The mountain is sculpted from sandstone and it rises 1086 metres above the bay. Its flat summit measures nearly 3km from end to end. The exhilarating ascent of Cape Town's Table Mountain is a must for any visitor and provides breath-taking views over the city and its beaches. The panorama stretches from Table Bay to False Bay and around the mountain to the Hout Bay Valley and Kommetjie.
On the lower slopes of Table Mountain, the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases some of the Cape’s rich flora. Taking centre stage here is the unique ‘fynbos’ vegetation. Those who work up an appetite while exploring this garden paradise can visit the restaurant or tea room, which are fully stocked with delicious meals, yummy treats and refreshing beverages. In summer, Sunday music concerts provide sunset entertainment. Kirstenbosch is rated as the seventh best of its kind in the world.
Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town's working harbour, the V&A Waterfront has become South Africa's most visited destination. Set against a backdrop of magnificent sea and mountain views, exciting shopping and entertainment venues are intermingled with imaginative office locations, world-class hotels and luxury apartments. The Waterfront is the heart of the tourist industry in Cape Town.
Depart for Cape Point along the Atlantic Seaboard and the prestigious suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay, with their beautiful beaches. The tour continues over the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive and onto Cape Point, where traditionally two marine ecosystems are said to meet. Walk or take the "Funicular" up to Cape Point. You can feel the extent of fury of the wild ocean beneath you as the sharp point of the Peninsula rises majestically out of the tumultuous crashing waves with its lighthouse perched above.
Depart for Boulder’s Beach, which is a beach that adjoins a sanctuary for the African Penguin living freely between the high rocks. We stop here – an excellent opportunity to take pictures before enjoying a delicious fish lunch at Harbour House Restaurant located on the edge of the ocean in the quaint village of Kalk Bay.
After lunch at leisure to enjoy shopping in Kalk Bay. Arts, crafts, antiques, books, beadwork, ceramics, jewellery, fabrics and everything from street side stalls for gifts and souvenirs can be found in these unique, arty and bohemian shops along the main street.
We return via the scenic Boyes Drive, the upmarket leafy suburbs of Constantia and Bishops Court, past the University of Cape Town and the famous Groote Schuur Hospital to the hotel.
Walk to the Robben Island ferry station at the waterfront and embark on an exciting travel back in time to learn more about the history of South Africa.
The remaining day is at leisure.
Your guide picks you up after breakfast and together, you will explore the winelands around Cape Town today. Included are 2 wine tastings on two different wine estates.

You are travelling on to Knysna today. You will explore the Knysna heads, and enjoy a boat cruise on the lagoon.
Distance: 458km, about 5 hours and 30min driving time
Today, you will explore the nearby city of Oudtshoorn which is famous for its Ostrich farms.
Take the road up to Plettenberg Bay, where we have organised a whale watching cruise for you in the afternoon.
Distance: 40km, about 40min travel time
Take the whole day to explore the Robberg Nature Reserve with your guide.
Your last stop is the beautiful tranquil town of St Francis bay.
En route you will stop in the green heart of the Garden Route - Tsitsikamma National Park - and will explore the area during a walk.
Your guide will say goodbye after your arrival and you can enjoy your final days at the beach or in your boutique Hotel.

Your tour ends today. We will drive you back to the airport in Port Elizabeth.
