Day 1: Yangon

Welcome to Myanmar. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight you gather for dinner to meet your fellow travellers and guide.

Day 2: Yangon

Today you explore the downtown area including the Old City Hall, Colonial Buildings, the old Strand Hotel and a tea shop. Later you visit Kandawygyi Park, reclining Buddha and the Schwedagon Pagoda.

Day 3: Mandalay

In the early morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Today you visit monasteries and temples plus handcraft workshops including Gold Leaf Beating and Stone Carving.

Day 4: Mandalay

A full day exploring Amarapura City, the ancient royal capital with visits to Maha Gandayon Monastery, home to over 1,000 monks, a silk weaving workshop and a silversmith workshop. Complete your day watching the sunset over U Bein Bridge.

Day 5: Mandalay

Before your boat trip to Mingun, you visit local women using the skills to make a variety of items using bamboo. In Mingun you visit an 18th Century pagoda with the world's largest ringing bell. After lunch enjoy a visit to the Zey Gyo market.

Day 6: Inle Lake

This morning you fly to Heho. Visit an 18th Century old wooden monastery followed by a leisurely walk through a local market. Transfer back to your hotel by boat.

Day 7: Inle Lake

Today you travel on Inle Lake to see the famous "leg rowers" with the oar strapped to one leg. Tour villages of houses on stilts, observe the lifestyle of the Intha tribe and discover the fascinating floating gardens. Visit Taung To market, where different hill tribes sell their goods. In the afternoon see how the local women weave on traditional looms and visit a blacksmith shop.

Day 8: Inle Lake

Today you visit the floating market. Take a pleasant boat trip through winding canals to the lakeside village of Indein. Visit a cluster of over 1,000 17th and 18th Century stupas. After lunch take a relaxing boat ride through the marvellous floating gardens.

Day 9: Old Bagan

Your day begins with a flight to Bagan. Your visits today include some of Bagan's most interesting and finest temples: the Manuha, the Nan Paya and the stunning murals of the Gubyakkyl Temple. End the day watching the sunset at the Dhamayazaka Stupa.

Day 10: Old Bagan

Continue to explore the immense complex of over 3,000 temples and shrines that overlook the Ayarwaddy River. In the afternoon visit a local, traditional lacquer ware workshop and then take a peaceful cruise on the Ayarwaddy River to enjoy the sunset and reflections of its light on the monuments of Bagan.

Day 11: Old Bagan

Today you visit Nyaung U market, a typical Myanmar market, followed by the Toddy Palm plantations to witness how farmers collect sap. In the afternoon visit Bagan's largest temple, Damayangyi Temple and Sulamuni Temple, with its ancient well preserved paintings. Tonight enjoy a puppet show over dinner.

Day 12: Yangon

Transfer to Nyaung U airport for flight to Yangon. Some optional afternoon activities are available if desired, otherwise enjoy free time to explore or relax.

Day 13: Yangon

Today you have free time to relax, explore or do some last minute shopping.

Day 14: End of Itinerary

The tour ends today with a transfer to Yangon's International airport according to your flight schedule.
