FIT Kruger Safari, Cape Town & Garden Route - Self Drive

On arrival at the airport, clients pick up their rental vehicle and transfer 5 hrs to their lodge in Mpumalanga, the gateway to Kruger national park. Afternoon can be spent at the Elephant Whisper excursion or watching hippos bathing by the river. Dinner enjoyed in traditional Shangaai style (own expense).

The following day, depart after a leisury breakfast for the Panorama route with its breathtaking views and plunging waterfalls. Visit the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondevals, Bourkes Luck Portholes, Gods Window and Pilgrims Rest before heading back to the lodge for your evening meal (own expense).

A short 1 hr drive takes you to the famous Timbavati Game Reserve. Days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles.

Depart Timbavati and drop off rental vehicle at Eastgate airport for flight to Cape Town. Pick up another rental vehicle from the airport in Cape Town and drive to the hotel located at the V & A Waterfront. The following days are free to book and enjoy the many optional activities in and around Cape Town. Dinners can be enjoyed at the bustling V & A waterfront (own expense).

After breakfast, a 1 hr drive takes you to the heart of the Cape Winelands. The afternoon is spent exploring the beauty of Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschhoek. Enjoy fine wines, great food and spectacular scenery (own expense).

Departing after breakfast, travel along the scenic meandering Route 62 to Knysna. With a blend of adventure and relaxation, various options are available to explore including the Knysna Heads - the treacherous entry into the Knysna lagoon where many an ancient sailing vessel met its doom, Featherbed Nature Reserve and many more (own expence).

A short drive from Kysna to Plattenberg bay. Visit the traditional stalls and crafts en route, book one of the many marine activities including dolphin cruises and whale watching (in season), Robberg Peninsula scenic walking trails (own expense) and many more

Start off early today with stops at Bloukrans bridge and Tsitsikamma forest en route to Port Elizabeth airport for vehicle drop off and onward flight.
