Arrive Maya Maya Airport and meet your Odzala Discovery Camps representative that will transfer you to the Radisson Blu Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day notes

You depart Radisson Blu after breakfast for your transfer to the airport and onwards 2 hour flight to Odzala. From here the journey takes about 3 hours by road to arrive at Ngaga in time for lunch. You will be met by your Camp Manager for your check in and orientation of the camp.

At pre-dinner drinks around the fire you will meet the Gorilla Researchers who will inform you about the gorilla families of the area and about the Gorilla Trek the following morning.

Enjoy a delicious 3 course meal in the dining room.

Day notes

A light breakfast is served at 05:30 before we start Gorilla Trekking at 06:00.

Depart with an expert Tracker and one of our Guides for a Gorilla Trek. (Due to the nature of this activity gorilla treks can be anywhere from 2 hours to a full day.)

Return for lunch back at Ngaga Camp.

In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the Village of Ombo, Ngaga Camp's closest neighbours.

In the evening meet for pre-dinner drinks around the fire before enjoying a delicious 3 course meal in the dining room.

A light breakfast is served before the morning activity.

Depart for gorilla trek or adventure walk. Additional gorilla trekking permits can be purchased in camp or before your arrival and is highly recommended.

Lunch at Ngaga Camp.

Forest walk ending with an ice cold drink in the Ngaga Stream.

Mboko Camp is located inside the Odzala-Kokoua National Park. This is the base camp of Odzala Discovery Camps, and the largest of the 3 camps. The camp is set along the Lekoli River which leads into a network of waterways, streams, bais and swamps to be explored on foot or in aluminium boats or kayaks. The walks are a great way to explore the wilderness and find unique wildlife species in their secluded habitats.

Discuss your gorilla experience with researchers before enjoying a delicious 3 course meal in the dining room.

Unique to Ngaga, guides can escort guests on night-walks in the forest, looking for rare nocturnal animals.

Getting from Mboko Camp is an adventure in itself - a guided morning kayak safari on the Lekoli River followed by a walk upstream to the Lango bai.

Breakfast at Mboko Camp overlooking the savanna. Keep an eye out for forest buffalo.

Depart for a kayak excursion along the Lekoli River. This activity is a circuit that starts from Mboko camp and ends at Lango Bai where there is regular animal activity. Guests kayak to the edge of the bai and explore it on foot. (Luggage will be transferred to Lango Camp)

Lunch at Lango Camp.

Depart for guided adventure walk. Guests can discover the various rainforest habitats and its residents by following a network of natural trails created by elephants. (Done mainly in the early mornings or in the late afternoons, when the animals are the most active.)

Meet for pre-dinner drinks around the fire before enjoying a delicious 3 course meal in the dining room.

Day notes

Getting back to Mboko from Lango Camp is equally fun; a game drive transfer followed by raised wooden path walk through the swamp.

Adventure walk to Mboko.

(Luggage will be transferred to Mboko during the excursion.)

Day notes

Enjoy a leisure breakfast before departing for your transfer to Mboko Airstrip for your flight back to Brazzaville.

Arrive in Brazzaville and have an Odazala Discovery Camps representative transfer you back to the Radisson Blu Hotel.

For dinner we recommend one of the many dining options at the Radisson Blu.

Enjoy a late leisure breakfast before checking out of the hotel.

Transfer to the airport conducted by Radisson Blu.

Arrive at airport in time for check in to flight.
