Hwange Game Drives
- Embark on a walking morning safari. Walking is the best way to appreciate the small magic of the bush – the way termites build their colonies, how dung beetles work, the finer points of the toothbrush tree. Encountering big game on foot is the ultimate thrill, safe in the knowledge that there is a trained, armed guide on hand to look out for you.
- Because the Hide sits on a private concession, there is provision to go on a game drive at night after dinner and experience wild nocturnal activity that you don’t get the chance to see elsewhere.

Take it easy today, pick one of two activities or do both if you wish.
Alternatively slip quietly into The Waterhole Hide, Quietly! Without the need for a guide or host, you can go directly from the deck into the underground hide and observe the elephant family from up-close. Just step off the deck and slip down the steps into a whole new world. Along a tunnel, you’ll walk for about 10 metres under the surface of the earth - and then emerge into a “window on the waterhole”, where you can sit quietly - the unobserved observing. Enjoy the experience of “game viewing” more intensely than ever before!
