Day 1: Gaborone

Welcome to Botswana! Arriving in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, you make your way to your overnight accommodation.

Days 2 - 10: Kalahari Botswana

At Modisa, mornings start before sunrise, when the weather is cool, and wildlife is most active. A typical day begins with breakfast at sunrise, followed by morning activities such as bush-walks, observation drives, or research sessions. During the hotter part of the day, from about 11 am to 3 pm, activities pause for a lunch break and some downtime. Guests are free to read, relax, or take a nap.

As the day cools, activities resume around 3 pm, and the group gathers to watch the sunset before returning to camp for dinner and campfire time. Evenings are usually spent sharing stories and reflections from the day’s experiences, with guests turning in by 9 pm to rest for another early morning start.

Day 11: Gaborone

Today you depart from the volunteering project and travel by road back to Gaborone to stay overnight before taking your onward flight to Maun the next morning.

Days 12 - 13: Khwai Community Area

You board your flight to Maun and then take to the skies aboard your charter flight and enjoy the endless views of the Delta en-route to your bush camp. The enchanting wilderness area of Khwai offers a captivating exploration of Botswana's diverse landscapes and rich wildlife.  Showcasing the stunning natural beauty of the Okavango Delta and also providing an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of the local communities. Travelers can expect to encounter a variety of ecosystems, from lush wetlands to arid savannas, making it a remarkable adventure for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers alike.

Day 14: Kasane

Arrive by charter flight into Kasane and transfer to your lodge along the Chobe River. Take advantage of the time to engage in various activities, whether it be relaxing at your accommodation or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

Days 15 - 16: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After a hearty breakfast, you continue your journey to Zimbabwe! You will be picked up by a transfer service and drive towards the famous Victoria Falls. Once you arrive in the small town and your accommodation, freshen up before setting off on further activities. You will spend the next few days exploring the spectacular waterfalls and the town of Victoria Falls in depth! All activities include return transfers from your hotel.

Day 17: End of Itinerary

Transfer to the airport and check-in for your flight back home.
