On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, you will be met by your driver/guide and transfer by road to the Naivasha area, roughly an hour and a half's drive from Nairobi over the edge of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. He will drop you off at Kiangazi House and head back to Nairobi, leaving you with plenty of time to settle into your rooms and have a relaxing lunch.
After a well deserved nap, you can opt to have an afternoon game drive or relax at the lodge enjoying the swimming pool, tennis court or exotic gardens. Taking time out to relax and in total comfort surrounded by breathtaking escarpments and dazzling lakes is one of Kiangazi’s many pleasures and provides a perfect opportunity to recover from your flight.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Loldia airstrip where your private charter aircraft will be waiting to fly you north around the Aberdare mountain range, past Mt Kenya, through the Laikipia region and onwards into the Matthews Range On arrival at Sarara airstrip you will be met by your driver/guide from Sarara and take a short game drive back to camp.
Your days at Sarara can be spent partaking in the miriad of activities they have available: game drives, mountain hikes, nature walks and bird watching are some of the favourites but there is also The Hide where you can get up really close to the animals without them realising.

On the morning of day seven you will be transferred to Kalama airstrip which is approximately a one and a half hour drive. At Kalama airstrip you will board a Safarilink aircraft and be whisked away to the Mara North airstrip.
On arrival at Mara North Airstrip, you will be met by your camp representative and transferred to Serian Camp arriving in time for a late lunch.
Time on safari is yours to do with as you wish and your driver/guides will discuss each day with you as you go along. The norm is an early wake up with coffee/tea around 6am to depart on a pre-breakfast game drive at about 630am. Being so close to the equator Kenya’s sunrise and sunset varies by an hour at most throughout the year, the temperature can also be comparatively cold in the early mornings and evenings, so it is a good idea to dress in layers when you go out on a drive as the middle of the day will be hot and dry.
After a sumptuous breakfast, the middle of the day is yours to do with as you please, many people go back to their tents and have a shower, perhaps read and take a nap before lunch or play board games in the main mess/lounge area of camp. After lunch you have a few hours to relax again before heading out around 330/4pm on an afternoon game drive – perhaps follow up on the pride of lion you saw in the morning, or head out to look for an elusive leopard or cheetah. After the game drive is time for a well-deserved pre-dinner drink around the camp fire and a chance to swap stories with other guests.
