Upon arrival at the International Airport El Dorado, you will be met by our representative and will be taken to your hotel. Our guide will assist you at the hotel with the registration procedures (check-in).

If you plan to travel with additional luggage, please let us know in advance in order to assign a different vehicle capacity for the transfer. Paloquemao Market + City Tour + Lunch + Monserrate Hill (B/L/-)

Today our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while he/she explains the itinerary and important information about the city.
Afterwards, head to the local market of Paloquemao*, one of the largest in Colombia, where you can find a large section of fruits and flowers.
Continue to visit the historical heart of Bogotá, La Candelaria. Enjoy a stroll around Plaza de Bolivar, Bogotá’s main square, flanked by prominent colonial and Republican-era landmarks like the Cathedral, the Congress Palace, the Cardinal’s Palace, the colonial churches of El Sagrario and San Agustin, the Independence House, the Palace of Justice, and the City Hall. After La Candelaria, head to the Gold Museum**, the largest collection of pre-Columbian gold in the world, and a must-see when traveling in Colombia and Botero Museum*** where you will find a great diversity of works by this important Colombian artist.
Take a break to enjoy a typical lunch at the Origen Bistro Restaurant, a place where you can enjoy a wide range of Colombian signature cuisine, with a special selection of meats, local dishes and a variety of wines and beverages.
End today's tour with a visit to Monserrate Hill, where you will find a white Catholic church located at the top, which has been a pilgrimage site since 1657. On a clear day, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city from this hill.

Please note when visiting churches and the like that women should not wear shorts or miniskirts and men should not wear shorts. This tour lasts 8 to 10 hours (depending on traffic), all entrance fees are included. VIP entrance at Monserrate is included.
Zipaquira’s Salt Cathedral + lunch (B/L/-)

Today’s tour starts with a panoramic drive to Zipaquirá, Colombia’s salt mining capital at just under 50km north of Bogotá. Zipaquirá is famous for its Salt Cathedral, which was carved inside an active salt mine, formed 250 million years ago and it’s home to the largest ever underground cross. This is a popular tourist destination as well as a place of pilgrimage for the local community.
Afterwards, head to a traditional restaurant located in the town of Cajicá.
Notes: Please note that the transfer to the Salt Cathedral takes approximately 1.5 hours and the transfer from the Cathedral to the restaurant, 45 minutes. The Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral is not recommended for people who might be claustrophobic. Also, please bear in mind when visiting churches and similar women should not wear shorts or miniskirts and men should not wear shorts. Duration: 7 to 8 hours (depending on traffic). The Andrés Carne de Res Chia restaurant is closed on Mondays.
