Day 1: Windhoek

You will be met by the car rental company representative on arrival and transferred to their offices in Windhoek to complete all rental procedures. You will then meet with our representative to hand over your travel documents.

The remainder of the day can be spent relaxing at your own leisure. If you would like to do a guided city tour (3 hours) then we can make these arrangements for you.

For dinner tonight, you can head into town for a bite to eat at one of Windhoek's well known restaurants. We recommend Joe's Beerhouse as it is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Days 2 - 3: Sesriem

After breakfast, you can still pop into town for anything you might need and then it's time to depart, heading south from Windhoek to your lodge for the next 2 nights. The route will take you either via the beautiful Spreetshoogte or Remhoogte Pass, both showcasing the natural beauty of Namibia

Wake up early for breakfast (Day 3) and then head to the entrance to Sossusvlei, the Sesriem Gate. You get to spend the whole day in the beautiful Sossusvlei area, exploring the highlights: Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Elim Dune and the Sesriem Canyon.

You can return to the lodge for lunch or arrange a lunch pack to enjoy in the dunes and return late afternoon for a well-earned rest!

Days 4 - 5: Swakopmund

Depart after breakfast and head north to Solitaire, then west crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons via the Namib Gravel Plains to the coast. We suggest that you either travel via Walvis Bay to Swakopmund, or (recommended) detour via Ganab to the Welwitschia Plains and Moon Landscape.

The Namibian coastline is generally known as The Skeleton Coast due to the barren areas, ship wrecks and, in days gone by, whale skeletons left on the beach.

1 full day is set aside for this lovely area where Swakopmund and Walvis Bay offer a wide range of activities such as: Dolphin cruise, Sandwich Harbour excursion (a real Skeleton Coastexperience), Dune quad biking, Sand boarding, Sea kayaking, Lots more...

Lunches and dinners can be enjoyed at a cafe or restaurant overlooking the sea. We recommend Jetty 1905 and the Tug Restaurant, but there are plenty of options to choose from.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein

Today head north along the Skeleton Coast, via Henties Bay to visit the Cape Cross seal colony. Along the way, stop at the Lichen Fields as well as the ship wreck between the colourful small town of Wlotskasbaken and Henties Bay. You will then backtrack to Henties Bay and head inland through wide open plains to Uis, then north to the Twyfelfontein area.

Why not visit Namibia’s Open Air Museum, the Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings as well as the interesting Organ Pipes rock formations and Burnt Mountain. You can also visit the Damara Living Museum for a hint of culture.

Day 7: Etosha South

After breakfast it is time to drive east towards Khorixas stopping at the Petrified Forest en-route.  From Khorixas head further east along the tar road to Outjo and then north to your lodge which is situated very close to the southern entrance of Etosha, the Anderson Gate.

If time permits, enter Etosha for an afternoon game drive. Depending on how often you stop today, you should arrive at your lodge in time for lunch (optional extra). On entering the park, the first stop would be Okaukuejo where you pay your entry fee (included) and we suggest you pop in at the local shop to purchase some drinks and snacks and most importantly, a map of Etosha which will show you all the waterholes along the way

Etosha is one of Africa's great game parks. With 114 species of mammal and 340 species of birds you are sure to see a great variety of wildlife on your safari.

Days 8 - 9: Etosha East

From one side to the other side of the park is a full day game drive as you head slowly east stopping at numerous waterholes along the way. Take a slow drive in the morning and then enjoy a snack or lunch overlooking one of the waterholes before continuing on through the park to the eastern side.

One full day is set aside for game viewing, either all day or alternate with morning and afternoon drives. These are self-guided game drives but you can arrange at the lodge to go with their open safari vehicle and guide (optional extra).

Days 10 - 11: Bagani

Depart Etosha after breakfast and begin your scenic journey eastward toward Grootfontein, where the landscapes gradually shift from open savannah to more wooded terrain. From Grootfontein, continue north to the riverside town of Rundu, known for its lush surroundings and communities living along the Kavango River. Your route then leads you further east to the tranquil village of Bagani, situated near the famed Popa Falls and forming the gateway to the Bwabwata National Park. This picturesque region marks the beginning of Namibia’s lush Zambezi (Caprivi) Strip, an inviting contrast to the arid beauty of Etosha.

Upon arrival at your lodge, the afternoon is yours to unwind and absorb the serenity of the riverfront setting. If time permits, you may wish to visit Popa Falls, a series of gentle rapids that are especially beautiful in the late-afternoon light. For those seeking a deeper connection with the area, optional activities include a sunset boat cruise on the Kavango River, offering wonderful opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, or a cultural visit to a Kavango village, where you can gain insight into traditional crafts, local customs, and everyday life along the river.

Arrive at your lodge and enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your own pace. Unwind in the comfort of your riverside accommodation, take in the tranquillity of the surrounding wilderness, or join an optional boat cruise on the serene Kwando River, an ideal way to experience the area’s vibrant wildlife and sunset views.

Days 13 - 14: Kasane

Continue your journey north toward Katima Mulilo, where the Namibian portion of your adventure gently comes to an end. Upon arrival, you will return your vehicle to Caprivi Adventures, who will then assist with a seamless cross-border transfer into Botswana. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you are driven to your elegant lodge in Kasane, perfectly positioned near the famed Chobe National Park and the Chobe Riverfront—one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich regions.

A full day has been set aside for you to immerse yourself in the beauty of Chobe. Spend the morning exploring the park on a guided game drive, where large herds of elephants, buffalo, and an abundance of predators are often sighted. In the afternoon, experience one of Botswana’s most iconic activities: a game-viewing boat cruise along the Chobe River. This unforgettable excursion offers close-up encounters with hippos, crocodiles, elephants bathing in the shallows, and prolific birdlife—all framed by the tranquillity of the river and the golden hues of an African sunset.

Included Activities:

  • One guided game drive in Chobe National Park

  • One game-viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River

Day 15: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After a relaxed breakfast, you will be collected for your transfer to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Your driver will guide you through the cross-border process—an interesting experience in its own right, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, settle into your lodge before setting out to witness one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. You may choose to explore the falls independently at your own pace or opt for a guided tour, which offers deeper insights into the history, geology, and legends surrounding this magnificent site.

As the afternoon gives way to evening, we highly recommend celebrating the end of the day with an optional sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, an unforgettable experience featuring serene waters, wildlife sightings, and the golden glow of an African sunset. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the vibrant flavours and rhythms of Africa with dinner at The Boma Restaurant, where traditional cuisine, energetic drumming, and lively entertainment create an atmosphere you’ll remember long after your journey ends.

Day 16: End of Itinerary

Today at an agreed time you will be picked up and transferred to Victoria Falls Airport ready for your flight home.

**If you would like to spend a little longer in Victoria Falls then this can easily be arranged. We usually recommend 3 nights to have chance to experience all the town has to offer.
