14 Day Cape, Penguins and Safari Tour

On arrival into Cape Town you will be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, ready for a 7 night stay in the beautiful Mother City.

Today you will be picked up by our local guide for a full day private wine tasting tour in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You will visit 4 or 5 vineyards and be given the chance to try and purchase a wide range of excellent wines from some of the best wine growing regions in the world. There is a lunch stop (own expense) overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek valley and the day finishes with a wine and cheese pairing.

Day at Leisure in Cape Town

Today you get to visit the colourful houses of Bo-Kaap on a guided walking tour of the area. This area used to be known as the Malay Quarter and is situated at the base of Signal Hill. Bo-Kaap has an interesting history and provides a unique cultural experience, in stunningly bright surroundings.


This morning you will be picked up by a local driver and taken down to the Clock Tower ready to embark on a tour of the historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years. There is a ferry ride across to the island, where you will then pick up a bus on arrival for a tour of the island, followed by a tour of the prison by a former inmate. You will then return back by ferry to the clock tower where your driver will be waiting to take you across to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens.

Day at leisure - Today would be a great day to visit Camps Bay. Here you can walk along the beach, or choose to simply sit and take in the fabulous views. We highly recommend watching the amazing sunset in one of the many bars and restaurants facing the ocean.

Today you will be picked up around 11.30am and transferred to Simon’s Town. The 60 minute drive is very picturesque through the table mountain national park and then out to the coast. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure.

Today we will arrange a short transfer for you to visit Boulders Beach, the breeding place of the African Penguins and a truly unique sight in the region. It is only a very short ride from Simon’s Town but completely worth it, for the stunning views and great wildlife experience. We can arrange the tour at any time to suit and it will take around 2 hours maximum.

Today is a full day private tour with a local guide taking in some of the most outstanding scenery around the region. Cape Point is at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and one of the southern most parts of table mountain national park, a declared Natural World Heritage Site. From here you will visit the Cape of Good Hope, a rocky headland on the Atlantic Ocean. 

Today you will be picked up at an agreed time and transferred to Cape Town Airport for your short flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival at PE you will be met and transferred approximately 50 minutes to the outstanding Shamwari Game Reserve. Depending on your chosen flight time you should arrive in time for afternoon tea and then the afternoon game drive.

Once in Shamwari you will have the option to follow the typical schedule of a morning and afternoon game drive each day, in search of the big 5, zebra, antelope, birds, hippo, cheetah, warthog, giraffes and much more. There are also a number of other options available upon request such as a visit to the Born Free Sanctuary, a visit to the animal rehabilitation centre, game walks, birding walk or a session at the on-site spa. Today after breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport ready for your onward flight or flight home.
