After a walk in the rice fields, we will drive to Gilamnuk port, take a ferry over to Java, and then transfer to our hotel.

Day 3: Pemuteran

Tue. 24 Sep 2019

Just after midnight, we board a 4x4 for a one-hour drive and then walk for 60 to 90 minutes up the Kawa Ijen volcano. With gas masks, we descend into the crater with its amazing blue flames.

We return to the hotel for lunch, and then depart, cross back to Bali on the ferry and driving through the countryside to Permuteran.

Day 4: Pemuteran

After breakfast at the hotel,  there are two options.

1) your guide will pick you up to go to the only National Park in Bali, Menjangan Island where you can spend your day with the divers as the Island has beautiful snorkelling spots. 

2)The alternative is to visit Banjar Temple, the only Buddhist temple in Bali. This temple is set up on the top of the hill; with  fantastic scenery. You will meet the local people in Seririt hot water springs. Take your swimsuit to relax in the warm water. The next visit will take you to Seririt local market. Lunch in a warung.

Day 5: Pemuteran

You will visit the Negara area. This day will take you to Rambut Siwi temple. The legend tells the priest Danghyan Nirartha saved an entire village from a fatal epidemic. He offered the villagers a lock of his hair to protect them. The next step will be the traditional Bugis harbour with its colourful boats. You will join the divers for lunch in a warung. 

Afternoon visit to Pura Pabean, the Temple of the Traders, overlooking the beach with two stone megaliths and Pura Pulaki temple. 

Dinner will be in a Local restaurant with a traditional Balinese dance performance.

Day 6: Tulamben

Fri. 27 Sep 2019

Transfer to Tulamben, (3 hours) with a visit to Batu Ponjok temple and lunch en -route. After the morning visit and transfer, the afternoon is a perfect opportunity to relax at the hotel pool, enjoy a massage or put fins on to swim above a rich coral garden just in front of the hotel.

Day 7: Tulamben

Visit of the Tirtagangga area. You will start with a walk through the rice fields followed by a visit to Tirta Gangga, the Holy Water Palace. “Tirta” means water and Gangga “Ganges”, the holy Hindu river. 

Day 8: Tulamben

Sun. 29 Sep 2019

Morning walk in the Amed countryside. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat ride a ride along the coast on a traditional Jukung with snorkelling.

Day 9: Candi Dasa

Mon. 30 Sep 2019

Morning for snorkelling or resting.  Lunch in a warung. Transfer to Candidasa. On the way, we will do an 1h30 walk through the Kastala rice field to discover more Indonesian culture.

Day 10: Candi Dasa

Tue. 1 Oct 2019

You will visit the Batur volcano and Agung area. You will leave the hotel early in the morning to go to Batur caldera. Enjoy a superb rice filed overview from the warung, where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Kehen temple and Pengli traditional village. 

Day 11: Ubud

Wed. 2 Oct 2019

Visit Klungkung Justice Court, famous for its roof traditional painting representation of hell and Haven. You will then visit Goa Lawa temple, Lawa is the Indonesian world for bat. You will mean (meet) the rest of the group in the afternoon and transfer to Ubud.

Day 12: Ubud

This morning we go rafting with lunch, returning to the hotel in the early afternoon.

Alternatively, you can do some shopping at the traditional market. This is good a opportunity to bring back spices and handicraft. However, if shopping is not your cup of tea, you will be able to have a walk in the rain Monkey forest to meet the long tail macaques
