The closest airport to Shamwari is in Port Elizabeth. From there, you can self-drive to the reserve or we can arrange a transfer for you. Once you arrive at Sindile Lodge you can enjoy your first shared afternoon game drive.

Shared afternoon game drive
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You are off to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap, and absorb being out in the bush. If you prefer an activity-filled day, guided bush walks are also on offer.
In the afternoon you will go on a shared game drive and then return to the lodge for dinner.

After your last morning game drive and breakfast, it is time to leave Shamwari Game Reserve. We will be happy to help with any add-on travel arrangements, including the Garden Route, Cape Town and Victoria Falls.
