This morning raise early to watch the incredible scenery pass as the Symphony makes it way thru the straits to the medieval city of Kotor, Montenegro.
Today explore Kotor and the surrounding area with your local guide. Surrounded by impressive medieval bulwarks which extend above the town to the fortress of Sveti Ivan, Kotor was under the rule of the Republic of Venice between 1420 and 1797, and the Venetian influence on the architecture is strong. We take a walking tour of the town that will pass the Watch Tower, the 12th-century Cathedral of St Tripun, the Church of St Luc, and the 17th-century Prince’s Palace.
In the Statute of the town Kotor, Gornja Lastva is mentioned in the XVI century, as a part of the Kotor district. The village Gornja Lastva, has about 20 stone houses, which are very simply built. In the majority of the village yards you can see the trellises of grape, interior gardens, stone benches and some water cistern. In Gornja Lastva there is a church dedicated to the Birth of the Holy mother of God, built in baroque style. The village square was used for various festivities and parties, as well as for the trading. Today the village and its inhabitants are especially interesting for the researchers of the traditional coastal building.
It is recommended that guests dress in conservative clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes. Bare shoulders, shorts and jeans are not permitted for their visit to St. Triphon’s Cathedral. The order of sights visited may vary. This excursion will operate in all weather conditions.

From here you can travel outside Naples for a half day excursion to Pompeii.
Upon arrival at Pompeii, enjoy a walking tour of this once opulent town. The extensive and varied ruins of Pompeii now provide us with a rich history of life at the time of the Roman Empire. Destroyed by the Mt. Vesuvius eruption in 79 B.C., this dugout treasure represents an amazing day trip for children and adults alike. On view are temples, forums, amphitheaters, a brothel and the casts of the people killed by the falling ash and pumice stone. Pompeii offers an unparalleled window into the quotidian life of classical antiquity. After your visit you will be transferred back to your hotel in Naples (4 hours, driver and guide)
Return to the ship for evening departure
The ship docs in Civitavecchia early this morning. UPon disembarkation take a but to the city center ( approximately 1 1/2 hours) where you can explore the labyrinth of narrow streets and beautiful wide open Piazzas of central Rome.
Today the piazza is flanked by cafes and restaurants with al fresco terraces, and whose centerpiece is Bernini's famous Quattro Fiumi fountain and. A short stroll away is the Pantheon, arguably Rome's most inspiring site - the best preserved of all Roman monuments in the city. A short walk through narrow cobble-stone streets with your guide brings you past the ministries of the Italian Government, across the via del Corso to the world famous Trevi Fountain. Be sure to throw in a coin to ensure you will return to Rome one day! Finally, your guide will show you the elegant Piazza di Spagna, with the Spanish Steps rising to the Trinita di Monti. A climb to the top of the steps (there is also an elevator) rewards with stunning views over the hills of Rome and dome of St. Peter's.
In the afternoon visit the imposing Colosseum, commissioned by Emperor Vesapian, the stadium could accommodate up to 50,000 spectators who came to view the gladiatorial battles that lasted up to 100 days! Adjacent is the Arc of Constantine, dating from AD 315 it is a forerunner to many other Triumphal Arches around the world. Possibly even more impressive are the excavations of the vast Roman Forum, where the remains of temples, streetscapes, palaces and homes.
Later, return to the ship for dinner and overnight sailing
Another early morning arrival in the port of Livorno. Board your transfer (apprx 90 min) to the heart of Florence. Dominated by Brunelleschi's glorious Duomo, Florence casts its magic spell on visitors in a way that few other cities can. Begin with a visit to the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), the famous landmark of Florence, and the Galleria dell'Accademia to see Michelangelo's David. Art and history lovers will relish the opportunity to visit the Uffizi Gallery this afternoon, housing some of the world's most significant art treasures. Complete your day with a visit to the Church of Santa Croce, where many famous Florentines such as Michelangelo and Galileo are buried before being transferred back to Livorno.
On arrival at Monaco harbour after leaving your cruise ship you will be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel.



Monaco, Eze and Beaulieu-sur-Mer are three places along the French Riviera that should not be missed. In glamorous Monte-Carlo, your sightseeing includes the extravagant Palais Princier, the residence of the Royal family, and the Oceanography Museum with its famous aquarium.
Next continue on to Eze, a village perched dramatically on the cliff top and affording splendid views along the coast before stopping in Beaulieu-sur-Mer to visit the Villa Kerylos, a Belle Epoque mansion built in the style of classical Greece.



Transfer to the Nice Cote d'Azur airport this morning for departure
