After arriving at Rio de Janeiro International airport we will be transferred to our hotel. Welcome to the Cidade Maravilhosa, Welcome to Brazil, Samba Country!
We will Depart from hotel on a City Tour including visit to Corcovado (includes train tickets)!
We will visit one of Rio de Janeiro highlights and a world's icon: the Corcovado Mountain. Afterwards we will visit the beautiful downtown Rio!
We will drive to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, from where we take the train to the Corcovado Mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level). A modern swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15meters almost to the summit at 710 meters. The train trip up takes 17 minutes aprox, at a maximum speed of 15km/h. The trip down takes 22min, at a speed of 12km/h.
Our ride will also include a panoramic view of the city as we will be crossing the city from Barra to downtown and back!

Stay in Barra da Tijuca and leave from there on our tours gives you the chance of seeing the city of Rio de Janeiro from a different perspective. Along our tours we will see the Olympic Stadium, Maracanã Stadium. We will see Aterro do Flamengo. Guanabara Bay! The new port area and the new High Capacity Transport System implemented in the city for the Olympic Games Rio 2016!
Our hotel has a very special location in Barra, Jardim Oceanico, the "historical Barra", where Barra begins! In my personal opinion the best location in town. Not crowded by tourists (they don't know that yet :-)), safe, affordable, with excellent restaurant options and white sandy beaches just right across the street. Not to mention a wonderfully pictured Beach, by nature! Sightseeing options and traffic jams, are "after the tunnel"!
Along our journey we will be in constant communication with you, via messages, informing about the conditions of our tours, the weather forecast, giving tips for tours on next days, informing pick up times, what to dress, what to bring (and what nt to bring), etc!

After breakfast we will be picked up at our hotel and will be taken on our tour:
Today we will visit another one of Rio de Janeiro highlights and world's icon: the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain and its Cable Car!
We will drive to "Praia Vermelha" (Red Beach) to take the two stage car up to the top of Sugar Loaf (270), which grants the entrance to Rio de Janeiro Harbor and Guanabara Bay! The Italian designed cable car holds 80 passengers and each of the two stages take two minutes. The First stage is Morro da Urca (170m), with a restaurant, amphitheater and helicopter pad! The second stage goest on to Sugar Loaf Mountain itself, thus names for its resemblance to the loaves of sugar used by the Portuguese at the time of the city's discovery.
From here we will have our (around 8 minute long) Helicopter Flightseeing Tour!

After breakfast we will leave our hotel by coach and drive to the next metro station. We will take the Metro on the way to downtown. We will walk thru historical Downtown Rio de Janeiro alleys and lanes! We will see beautiful Museums and Churches. We will eventually visit an Exposition at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and will walk thru the beautiful Orla Conde, until the graffiti work: "Mural do Kobra"! We will also walk along Lapa and visit Celaron stairs!
We will also visit Carnival Behind The Scenes at Carnival Experience! It will take us to the Workshop of the Samba Schools! It will show us how they prepare for Carnival. And we will have an introduction Briefing on "The History Of Samba"! And much more... !

Day at leisure.
In the evening we will have dinner at a typical Churrascaria and visit a genuine Brazilian Folklore & Samba Show at Teatro Leblon: Ginga Tropical!
(Ginga Tropical Show has to be planed from The to Sun).
Expert tips:
Barra da Tijuca has a wonderful beach. You can take this day to relax and enjoy it. You can also visit the beautiful beaches of Praia & Grumari. Take a Bike Tour, or a Surf Class!
For Dinner & Show dress casual! No shorts please!
