Days 2 - 4: Rovos Rail

After a leisurely wake up and breakfast, check out and transfer to the Pretoria Railway Station.

Board the amazingly luxurious Rovos Rail  - this journey of three nights will take you to Victoria Falls. There are stops enroute with various activities arranged by the train.

Days 5 - 7: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Arrival into Victoria Falls station where you will be met on the platform and taken your hotel of choice.  Whilst in Victoria Falls you will have full days of adventure  - with a guided falls tour, sunset dinner cruise, helicopter flight over the Falls, optional adrenaline activities such as gorge swing, canopy tour or zip line, or cultural tours as well as sampling High Tea at Victoria Falls Hotel or a traditional meal at the Boma Restaurant.

Days 8 - 10: Cape Town

Today you will move from Zimbabwe back to South Africa.  Check out and settle extras before transferring to the airport for your flight to Cape Town.  This fabulous new link has you in the Mother City within 3 hours of leaving Vic Falls.

On arrival, check through customs and immigration and collect your luggage before walking through to the arrivals hall where you will meet your driver and guide.  It is adviseable to have a guide in Cape Town for a short stay as he will then do the driving for you whilst you take in all the scenery, drink delicious wine and explore as much as possible.

We recommend 3 nights so that you have two full days to take in the Mountain and parts of the city, as well as visiting the Cape Peninsular and Boulders Beach, plus a bit of time at the V&A Waterfront and shopping.   The city has an abundance of restaurants and it helps to have a friendly guide on hand to assist with decision making and planning.

Days 11 - 12: Franschhoek

Today you will wind your way through the Stellenbosch and Paarl winelands with a few strategic stops enroute at some of the more authentic and off the beaten track wineries.  Your guide will drive you and entertain you on the history of the Hugenouts and the surrouding wineland areas , even take in a Waterford Wine Safari.    You can comfortably embibe on however many wine tastings you want and not worry about driving!!

Arrive into Franschoek later afternoon where you will check in to your preferred hotel for two nights on a B&B basis.   The town of Franschoek is quaint and romantic.  There are restaurants and shops that line the main cobbled street with tastes for everyone.   Visit more wine estates on the fun loving Wine tram, or trust your guide to take you to the less commercial 'real' parts of the area for a true capetonian experience.

Days 13 - 14: The Blue Train

This morning enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the Cape Town station to board the Blue Train for your 2 night journey back to Pretoria.   You will stop off in Kimberly en route  for a scheduled tour of the diamond pits and Big Hole.

Day 15: Johannesburg

Arrival into the Pretoria station mid afternoon where you will be collected and transferred to your hotel of choice for the night - suggest The Residence which is close to Marble Arch and Sandton where guests can enjoy one of the many amazing restaurants in Nelson Mandela Square.

Dinner - extra cost with complimentary transfers from the hotel.

Days 16 - 18: Ulusaba Private Game Reserve

Today is the start of your Big Game Safari.  Check out and transfer to the airport to the Federal Air lounge to board your charter flight to Kruger National Park.  This is a daily scheduled flight and there are luggage restrictions, so you will be able to store excess luggage at the lounge for when you return.

ON arrival into Kruger at the camp of choice, you are met by your ranger from the camp who will transfer you to the camp through the park in a 44x4 game vehicle, who knows what you may see enroute!  This is the most exciting time for you as you take in the sights and smells of the raw african bush.  Check in to your camp for three nights on a fully inclusive basis and daily activities will be outlined by your ranger  - comprising of drives, walks, surprise bush set ups, dinners, picnic lunches, stargazing and others  -  all will blow your senses and each day will have you wakening with the morning birdsong and going to sleep hearing the haunting sounds of night and eagerly anticating what tomorrow will bring.

Day 19: End of Itinerary

The last morning of safari is always a sad time as your heart and soul will surely by now belong in Africa.  It happens to everyone and that is when we know our continent has done her job!

Check out and charter flight back to Johannesburg.  From the Federal Air Lounge, you will be transferred to the international check in terminal where you will check in for your longhaul flight home that evening.
