Days 1 - 2: Vancouver

Check into your hotel and get out to explore this vibrant city.

Day 3: Osoyoos

Collect your car and head out on the roads less travelled. First stop is the wonderful Okanagan Valley and the town of Osoyoos, surrounded be desert, here you will find wineries, beaches, mountains, wildlife and a rich First Nations culture.

Day 4: Nelson

Nestled in the Selkirk Mountains along the west are of the Kootenay Lake you will find the hidden gem of Nelson. Here you will find more than 350 preserved heritage buildings, hot springs, mountain trails and scenic drives.

Day 5: Fernie

Another day of scenic beauty as you continue your drive to the village of Fernie surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Days 6 - 7: Waterton Lakes National Park

A park of unrivalled beauty Waterton is unspoiled and uncrowded, the park is nestled in the southwest corner of Alberta and shares its borders with Glacier National Park in Montana. Spend two days discovering the many trails, the village and the activities which include cruising on the lake.

Days 8 - 9: Kananaskis Village

Travel the cowboy trail between the Rocky Mountains and the Canadian prairie, in the high ranching country of Alberta. This scenic route along highway 22 through Canada’s Rocky Mountain Foothills features horseback trail rides, western themed attractions, adventures, historic sites and western themed shopping.

Days 10 - 12: Banff

Leave early this morning for the short drive to Banff. Explore the Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, Lake Minnewanka and the Hoodoos.

Spend the next few days exploring more of Banff or hit the road for the 1 hour scenic drive to Lake Louise. Highlights not to be missed include Emerald Lake, the Spiral Tunnels and of course world famous Lake Louise surrounded by rugged peaks and glaciers.

Days 13 - 14: Jasper

Drive one of the most scenic highways in Canada - The Icefields Parkway to Jasper, highlights on the way include, the Athabasca Falls & Glacier, Peyto Lake, Crowfoot Glacier, Glacier Sky Walk. We have included a trip on the Ice Explorer.

Your will have a full day in Jasper to explore the national park , Maligne Canyon & Lake, Miette Hot Springs & Whistlers Mountain before returning your car downtown.

Day 15: Kamloops

Rocky Mountaineer 2 Day Rail:  Jasper to Kamloops - SilverLeaf

This morning please make your own way to Jasper Station.

Boarding  will be at 8:10am (check in at least  30 minutes prior to scheduled departure).                    

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops. You will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 16: Vancouver

Rocky Mountaineer: Kamloops to Vancouver - SilverLeaf

This morning you transfer from your hotel to the railway station to board The Rocky Mountaineer. 

Boarding will be at 7:35am.   

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.
