Days 1 - 2: White River

Welcome to South Africa!

Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport you will pick up your rental car and start your round trip. You will drive east to White River where you will arrive at Olivers Lodge in the late afternoon.  The rest of the day is free for you to relax after the long flight. 

The next day we recommend you take a full day excursion to the Panorama Route. Visit the Three Rondavels, God's Window and Bourkes Luck Potholes. Furthermore, a stop at the waterfalls Lisbon and Berlin Falls is worthwhile.

Days 3 - 4: Southern Kruger

After breakfast you will leave White River and continue to the Kruger National Park to Jock Safari Lodge. You will arrive at the lodge in the early afternoon and take part in your first game drive in an open safari vehicle already in the late afternoon. You will spend two nights at the lodge and have a total of 4 x game drives in the open safari vehicle with an English speaking ranger included.

Day 5: Matsapha

After the last early morning game drive and breakfast, you will leave the Southern Kruger National Park and cross the border to Eswatini. You will reach Summerfields Luxury Resort in the late afternoon and spend 1 night at the hotel.

Days 6 - 7: Manyoni Private Game Reserve

After breakfast you will leave Eswatini and cross the border into South Africa again. In the afternoon you will reach Manyoni Game Reserve.  You will spend two nights at Rhino Sands Safari Camp. In the late afternoon, you will again join a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle. You will spend two nights at the lodge and have a total of 4 guided game drives in the open safari vehicle included.

Days 8 - 9: St Lucia

After breakfast, you will depart Manyoni Game Reserve and continue to the small town of St. Lucia.  Upon arrival and after settling into your accommodation, you will have the rest of the day to explore this charming little town. St. Lucia is located on the St. Lucia Delta and is a paradise of tranquility that can only be found in unspoiled nature. St. Lucia is completely enclosed by the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park and so it is not surprising that the protection of its beautiful nature is the top priority of the town's inhabitants. The best way to explore the area is by mountain bike or hiking. Furthermore, we recommend you to join a boat trip on the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park where you will get close to hippos & crocodiles. You will spend two nights at the Serene Estate Boutique Hotel.

Day 10: Salt Rock

After you had breakfast you will leave St. Lucia and drive to Salt Rock, north of Durban. You will spend 1 night at the Canelands Beach Club which is located on a beautiful, long and sandy beach. The rest of the day is free for you to relax.

Days 11 - 12: Knysna

After you had breakfast you will leave St. Lucia and continue to Durban. Drop off the rental car at Durban Airport and continue your flight to Port Elizabeth. Upon arrival at the airport in Port Elizabeth, you will again pick up a rental car and start your round trip along the Garden Route. 

Your first stop is the lagoon town of Knysna. You will spend 2 nights in Knysna and we recommend you  visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and hike over the Storms River Mouth suspension bridge. For an extra charge we can add a kayak excursion. Furthermore, a visit to the Birds of Eden,  Monkeyland and a boat trip on the catamaran in the Knysna Lagoon is worthwhile.

Days 13 - 14: Oudtshoorn

After you had breakfast you will leave Knysna and continue via the Outeniqua Pass to the ostrich metropolis of Oudtshoorn. We recommend you to visit the Cango Caves and an ostrich farm.

Days 15 - 16: Cape Winelands

After you had  breakfast you will leave Oudtshoorn and continue via the famous Route 62 to the wine region of Stellenbosch. You will spend two nights at Jordan Wine Estate and include a wine tasting at the winery.  On the way it is also recommended to make a stop in Franschoek.

Days 17 - 19: Cape Town

Today you arrive in the Mother City, Cape Town. You will spend three nights at the Clarendon Fresnaye and have plenty of time to explore the city. Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain and enjoy the view. We also recommend a day trip to the Cape of Good Hope and the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Day 20: End of Itinerary

Today it is unfortunately time to say goodbye again!

After breakfast you will drive back to the airport in Cape Town and return your rental car. Afterwards you will start your journey home. We hope that you had an unforgettable stay and look forward to welcoming you back to South Africa soon.
