Day 1: Belem

Upon arriving at Belém Airport, be welcomed by your expert guide. From there, embark on a transfer to your accommodation. The remainder of the day invites you to unwind at your leisure or embark on an exploration of the city of Belém.

If you have time, spend the late afternoon at Estação das Docas, a cultural and leisure complex housed in beautifully restored 19th-century English iron warehouses along the banks of Baía do Guajará. It’s the perfect spot to sample craft beers featuring regional flavors, paired with delicious snacks like jambú pastries at Amazon Beer. Don’t miss the chance to try one of Cairú's ice creams, voted the best ice cream parlor in Brazil, which uses typical Amazonian fruits as the main ingredients for its artisanal creations.

Day 2: Belem

After breakfast, embark on an exciting full-day tour in Belém, exploring the city's captivating highlights and vibrant culture.

Alternatively, embark on a full-day tour to Combu Island to discover the rich riverine culture and savor authentic local cuisine. This immersive experience offers insights into traditional ways of life along the river, complemented by opportunities to taste regional specialties crafted by the island’s vibrant community.

Day 3: Kaiara - Belle Amazon Boat

From the airplane window, the vast expanse of the Pará Amazon’s freshwater welcomes your arrival in Santarém. Upon landing, a dedicated team awaits at the airport for a 30-minute drive to Alter do Chão, with boarding scheduled from 3:00 pm. After settling in, guests receive a briefing on the boat and safety procedures before celebrating the start of the journey with a first swim in the Tapajós River. Free time is available for swimming and exploration.

Alter do Chão offers the chance to discover one of the most charming villages in the entire Amazon, featuring excellent waterfront restaurants, a picturesque central square, and shops specializing in indigenous crafts—creating an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 4: Kaiara - Tapajós River (Jamaraqua)

After breakfast, disembark in the Tapajós National Forest (FLONA), a vital conservation area spanning over 500,000 hectares. The boat anchors in front of the Jamaraquá community, and, for those seeking adventure, a guided trek through pristine primary forest leads to the legendary Giant Samaúma tree. This centuries-old “grandmother” of the forest is known for her generous canopy and long branches, providing shelter to countless species of plants, birds, and animals. The length of the trail can be adjusted to group preferences. Lunch is served aboard the boat, followed by a free afternoon for swimming in the Tapajós River. The evening is best spent on deck, gazing at the Amazonian night sky and listening to the symphony of the forest.

Day 5: Kaiara - Arapiuns River (Coroca)

Wake up at the Jari Channel, a tributary of the majestic Amazon River, to observe its rich wildlife. Experiencing an Amazonian sunrise and the birds’ morning chorus is a privilege reserved for adventurous souls. The route continues to the blackwaters of the Arapiuns River, renowned for white sand beaches and lush forest scenery—keep a camera ready for playful river dolphins along the way. In the late afternoon, visit the Coroca community, where highlights include the turtle lake and the nursery supporting turtle conservation. A stop at the artisan shop reveals original, high-quality handicrafts made by the community. The visit offers valuable insights into sustainable tourism’s role in protecting local wildlife, flora, and the well-being of Amazonian peoples. The day ends with a special onboard dinner, featuring authentic Pará cuisine crafted by the crew.

Day 6: Kaiara - Arapiuns River (São Marcos)

Begin the day with a visit to a traditional farinha house in São Marcos community after breakfast. Witness and learn about the age-old process of producing manioc derivatives, essential foods for forest communities. Return to enjoy the beach, where the crew prepares caipirinhas with local fruits, serves irresistible regional snacks, or sets up hammocks under shade trees. The final night is celebrated with a beachside dinner featuring the Piracaia tradition—fish roasted over an open fire.

Day 7: Brasilia

On the last morning, awaken to the green waters of the Tapajós River, with a chance for a final farewell swim. Return to Alter do Chão for disembarkation. The team organizes group transfers to Santarém airport, ensuring schedules align with most travelers’ midday flights. Board your flight (not included) to Brasília. Upon arrival, be greeted by your guide and escorted to your accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

Day 9: Trijunção

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and embark on a scenic car journey to Pousada Trijunção, taking approximately five hours, with 1.5 hours on a dirt road and stops along the way for sightseeing. Upon arrival, check in and settle into your accommodation. Dinner will be served at Pousada Trijunção.

You have the option to charter a flight directly to Pousada Trijunção, offering a convenient alternative to land transfers. Enjoy a scenic air transfer via a single-engine chartered airplane (Caravan C208), with a flight time of approximately 50 minutes one way. Upon landing at Fazenda Trijunção airstrip, you will be transferred by car to the pousada's main area, which takes about 30 minutes. The Caravan C208 can accommodate up to eight passengers and two pilots. Each passenger may bring two pieces of luggage: one weighing 23 kg and another 10 kg (please consult us for additional luggage requests).

While the suites at Pousada Trijunção offer exceptional comfort, nothing compares to the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding nature. Whether it’s witnessing a stunning sunset or observing the graceful maned wolf, the pousada organizes daily guided experiences throughout the expansive Cerrado. Each activity is designed to be short, allowing guests to return to the pousada for a restful break before embarking on another adventure. With a flexible, tailor-made schedule, breakfast can be served at any time, ensuring comfort and convenience without the constraints of fixed timings.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Check-out from your accommodation and be transferred by car to the Fazenda Trijunção airstrip, which takes about 30 minutes. Enjoy a scenic air transfer to Brasília airport via a single-engine chartered airplane (Caravan C208), with a flight time of approximately 50 minutes one way.

  • When booking your departure flight from Brasilia, please remember to factor in the hotel check-out time, the duration of your journey, and an additional two-hour safety margin. If you opt for the air transfer, we recommend allowing a four-hour safety margin to ensure a seamless experience.
