MONDAY  Your tour representative will meet you upon your arrival at Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport and take you 3 hours away to malaria-free, Big 5, Kaingo Game Reserve. It is situated in the Waterberg Region which is one of the few UNESCO-recognised biosphere reserves on the planet and is the only savanna biosphere reserve in the world. On arrival, cocktails and snacks await at this traditional safari lodge, built from natural stone with thatch roofs, and with an olde worlde-Africa atmosphere. After settling in, enjoy a sunset game drive to experience first-hand the twilight beauty of the African bush and her wild creatures. Then it’s back to the lodge for dinner accompanied by the unparalleled orchestra and chorus of the wild African night, making your first night in the bush unforgettable.

TUESDAY  Rising before dawn is a necessity if you want to see wildlife as they are most active in the cool early mornings or late afternoons. Strong coffee and one of South Africa’s iconic snacks, homemade rusks, will be served to see you through your game drive to breakfast. After breakfast each day, you are at free to laze around, go swimming, or take a nap. Or, reserve one of the recommended activities. Lunch is followed by the sunset game drive, then back at the lodge, you will be treated to a delicious dinner.

Optional Activities:

• RIVER CRUISE - take an unhurried game-viewing cruise on the Mokolo River
• ROCK ART - visit the sites which date back more than 1,000 years and depict the spiritual beliefs and lives of the San, Khoi and the Pedi people that lived in this area until 100 years ago.

WEDNESDAY  The iconic and most dangerous wild animals of Africa – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard – are at home in malaria-free Kaingo Game Reserve, but so too are over 50 other mammal species and over 300 bird species. Also, Royal Morubisi is just 55km from the centre of the Waterberg Region and has the mighty Mokolo River weaving through its breath taking landscapes. Your daily sunrise and sunset game drives are the best way to experience the reserves spectacular scenery and extraordinary wildlife. Each game drive is unique and unpredictable. Sunset game drives include stopping for "Sundowners" as the sun sets, and serves as an apertif before dinner. Under the Southern night sky awash with stars and glimmering constellations not seen in the Northern Hemisphere, dinner (maybe in the boma, maybe in the bush, and maybe with your fish on the grill) will be a truly memorable experience.

• BIRDING - consider a guided walk with one of the specialist field guides to find the African Finfoot, Narina Trogon and Striped Pipet.
• FISHING - the lodge is equipped with fishing tackle so why not use your leisure time to catch a Largemouth Bass. If you like, the Chef will be on hand to assist in preparing your catch of the day. 
• NATURE WALKS - with a highly trained field guide will provide an intimate encounter with nature.

THURSDAY  Your final morning at Royal Morubisi provides you the possibility of one more wild encounter during your last sunrise game drive. Savour the moment with coffee and rusks as the animals and birds welcome the new day. After breakfast, transfer to Johannesburg to catch your flight to Cape Town. Lunch will be enjoyed en route or at the airport (for your account). Upon arriving in Cape Town, you will be whisked out to your Stellenbosch vineyard guest house in the Cape Winelands. That evening, enjoy the lazy sunset over the stunning views of mountains and organic vineyards before your scrumptious dinner - a great way to mark your arrival in the Cape Winelands and the start of your new adventure.

FRIDAY  After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure.

Optional Activities:

• Peninsular Scenic Tour (Full Day) PENFD - Drink in Cape Town’s magnificent coastline, fynbos-covered mountains and indigenous wildlife on this scenic adventure. Climb the iconic lighthouse at Cape Point, get up close and personal with penguins at Boulder’s Beach and admire rare plants at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Lunch at restaurant of your choice (for own account). Pick up and drop off at your hotel.

SATURDAY   After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure in Cape Town at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (V&A), then return to Stellenbosch after dinner.

• Cape Town City & Table Mountain Tour (Half Day) TMCHD - Enjoy breath-taking views from the cable car and the summit of one of the seven natural wonders of the world: Table Mountain. Be moved by Cape Town’s colourful past when you visit historic landmarks such as the Malay Quarter and the Castle of Good Hope. Pick up from and return to the V&A Waterfront.
