Afternoon at leisure before Sunset Cruise

Sunset Cruise

“A river of enchantment and magical colors bursting in the sky creating nature’s own masterpiece”, is the only way to describe the African Cruise on the Mighty Zambezi.

Cruise along the banks of the river, and view the spectacular scenery that is nature’s own sanctuary, and home to the “chortling hippos”, the “singing birds” and the “snapping crocodiles”, as you sip on your drink and indulge in mouthwatering snacks.

Enjoy the hospitality of professional guides and Captains as you relax and enjoy the delicious snacks and chilled refreshments. See the “smoke that thunders” as you gently cruise the upper Zambezi River.

Observe the aquatic bird life and other resident or migratory species.

You may be fortunate enough to witness the great African elephant swimming from island to island, grazing or dusting themselves on the riverbanks.

Victoria Falls Day Trip

Visit the Falls, museums, explore Livingstone town and markets all with a private vehicle and guide to take you to Victoria Falls, transfer you between additional activities – you are free to spend as much time as you want to experience the world’s largest waterfall and surrounding attractions.

Optional Activities (at an additional cost - not included in the price)

• Tracking the White Rhino

Embark on a guided walking safari in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in search of the rare and endangered White Rhinos. Spectacular to be able to view these and other game whilst on foot, and learn about the bush.

• Engage in local culture

Visit the village ‘Muke Village’, home to most of the staff at the lodge. A chance to meet some members of the community, and learn about the local building techniques, cuisine, traditions and of course the local brew! A visit to the small community pre-school is always fun too – for the students and the visitors!

• Livingstone Island and the Devil's Pool

Stand on top of Victoria Falls at Livingstone Island and swim in the Devil’s Pool, right on the edge of the Falls. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or high tea and a swim at this breath-taking island. Only available during low-water season.

• Bungee & Zipline

Plummet 111m from the historical bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe, into the Batoka Gorge, with a spectacular backdrop of the Victoria Falls. Or take a zipline across the Gorge, with the Zambezi below you!

Breakfast at Lodge -Check Out

Transfer to Kasane Airport for your flight to Maun Airport (*flight included)

On arrival at Maun Airport, collect luggage from Airline and depart on your Charter Flight (*flight included) to Ntswi Airstrip and from there transfer to Gunns Camp - Check In

Lunch at the lodge is followed by your afternoon Safari Game Drive.

Afternoon Activity - Safari Game Drive

On a guided Safari Game Drive  through the Delta you are totally enveloped in nature. You spot amazing things close-up: an insect, animal tracks, big game droppings, swarming termite mounds. These small, unexpected aspects of life often make the biggest impression.

Dinner at the lodge and an evening at leisure to enjoy the pristine night skies.

Morning Activity - Mokoro Canoe Safari

This traditional dugout canoe glides over shallow, clear waters past brilliant water lilies and papyrus grasses to areas inaccessible by boat. This quiet and ancient method of navigating the delta will provide you with splendid close up encounters of the magnificent bird and animal species which call the Okavango home.

Lunch will be served at the lodge.

Afternoon Activity - Safari Game Drive/ Walking Safaris/ Boat Cruises

Your afternoon activity is completely up to you to decide. If you want to do a walking safari and get a feel for the African bush of Botswana or go on a spectacular Safari Game Drive in the Okavango Delta or perhaps a Boat Cruise through the wonders of the Delta

Dinner at the lodge and an evening at leisure enjoying the clear, star studded skies.
