A typical day at Shackletons Tiger Fishing Lodge starts early with a continental breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and coffee before heading out at daybreak to the Zambezi for morning fishing with a guide, chasing tigerfish, bream, tilapia, or catfish using spinning, trolling, drift baiting, or fly methods. Guests return around 11:00 for a hearty brunch, then relax by the pool, on their river-view verandah, or enjoy bird‑watching, cultural excursions, or simply soaking up the scenery. In the afternoon, boats head back out around 14:00 for another fishing session, returning at sunset with stunning river views. Evenings are for sundowner drinks, sharing stories of the day, and a leisurely dinner under the stars with home‑cooked local cuisine, often followed by time around the fire pit or lounge, enjoying the peaceful river atmosphere. The day is flexible, allowing guests to tailor fishing sessions while still enjoying the lodge’s pool, bar, and scenic spots.

Evenings feature a leisurely dinner at MaKuwa-Kuwa or the lively Boma – Dinner & Drum Show under the stars.
