On arrival at Cairo Airport you will be met and transferred to the Marriott Mena House Hotel.

Today enjoy a privately guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the ancient capital Memphis and burial ground of Sakkara, located south-west of Cairo. After lunch at a traditional restaurant you will visit the Pyramids of Giza, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the mysterious Sphinx, carved from a single block of stone. 

Today you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan.

On arrival at Aswan Airport you will be met and transferred to the Amarco II cruise boat. Offering the highest standards of hospitality it is amongst the most spacious accommodation on the Nile. The elegant interiors of the all-suite Nile cruise boat are complemented by expansive views of the river framed by large French balconies within the cabins. Cruising on the Amarco II includes privately guided sightseeing at all historical stops enroute. 

This morning sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin temples – one side dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World and Horus, the falcon God. After lunch sail via Edfu to Luxor 

This morning transfer to the West Bank, to explore the Necropolis of ancient Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs including King Tutankhamun’s tomb. This is followed by a visit to the Temple of Madinat Habu and a stop at the Colossus of Memnon. Overnight on board. 

This morning there is the opportunity of rising at dawn to take a hot air balloon flight over Luxor (at own expense). The day is at leisure allowing you time to relax and enjoy your experience on the Nile. This evening there is an optional excursion to the Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple on the east bank of the Nile. 

This morning after breakfast visit the impressive Karnak and Luxor Temples. Built over a period of two millennia by generations of Pharaohs, the Temple of Karnak was dedicated to the God Amun. Proceed to the Temple of Luxor, once connected to Karnak via the Avenue of Human-headed Sphinxes. After lunch sail to Edfu. Overnight on board.  

Visit the Temple of Horus, the best Greek-built preserved temple of the ancient world, dedicated to the Falcon God. Later, sail to Aswan via Kom Ombo. Overnight on board. 

Early this morning take an excursion by air to Abu Simbel (included) to view the wonders of this amazing temple built by Ramses II and relocated piece by piece in the 1960’s for preservation from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Later visit the Aswan High Dam, Egypt’s contemporary example of building on a monumental scale, and the majestic Philae Temple. Overnight on board. 

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo.

Flight from Aswan to Cairo

On arrival at Cairo Airport you will be met and transferred to the Four Seasons First Residence Cairo Hotel.

This morning you have a privately escorted sightseeing trip of Old Cairo which includes the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Mohamed Ali, followed by some shopping time at the famous Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. 

Today you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your onward flight.
