Kenya & Tanzania Safari

Day notes

Upon your arrival into Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by the dmAFRICA representative as you descend the aircraft steps. You’ll then be taken to the aircraft terminal where you’ll be shown through fast track immigration and given assistance with baggage collection and customs formalities.

Once you’ve completed the immigration and customs formalities, you’ll be escorted to your waiting driver and dmAFRICA vehicle that will transfer you to the Legendary Lodge located in a coffee plantation in Arusha. Overnight you’ll be staying at the Legendary Lodge on a full board basis in your luxury garden cottage. (NOTE: As in all airports in the World, at times of heightened security, including visits by Heads of State etc., our Fast Track intentions may be adapted to suit the situation of the day).

After breakfast at the Legendary Lodge, you’ll depart by road in your private closed sided 4x4 vehicle, heading west, towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. You will stop en route for game drives inside the Lake Manyara National Park which will take approximately 2.5 hours by road. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lions – followed by a picnic down by the Lake Manyara shore before continuing onwards to the Ngorongoro Highlands, reaching the lush, green, forested hills of Ngorongoro and your overnight accommodation on the crater rim at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, where you’ll be staying on a full board basis in your luxury suite, with fantastic views over the crater.

The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is widely accepted as having the best location of all of the lodges located on the crater rim.

This morning, you will be met by your private dmAFRICA 4x4 vehicle and driver guide which will transfer you to the Chem Chem Conservancy, where you will be met by your private open side 4x4 and driver guide from Little Chem Chem which will transfer you to the Chem Chem Conservancy and Little Chem Chem, close to Lake Burungi.

In the afternoon at Little Chem Chem, you will be enjoying game activities within the private Chem Chem Concession. Your overnight arrangements will be at Little Chem Chem in your luxury tent on a full board basis. The Chem Chem Conservancy and neighbouring Tarangire National Park is famous for its elephants.

This morning, you depart from Little Chem Chem after breakfast, heading to the Lake Manyara Airstrip by road. At the Lake Manyara Airstrip, you will be connecting with your private charter in a Cessna F406 to the Sasakwa Airstrip in the private Singita Grumeti Reserves. The flight will take approximately 35 minutes.

Upon arrival into Sasakwa Airstrip you’ll be met by a Singita an open sided 4x4 with driver guide and transferred to the Singita Faru Faru Lodge in the Grumeti Reserves, a private conservation area of comparable size to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. In the afternoon you’ll be heading out the Singita Grumeti Reserves for game activities in your private open sided 4x4 vehicle.

Overnight, you’ll be staying at the Singita Faru Faru Lodge on a full board basis in your luxury suite.

Today you will have a full day of game activities within the private Grumeti Reserves with your private open sided 4x4 vehicle with driver. Tonight, you’ll be staying overnight at Faru Faru Lodge on a full board basis in a luxury suite.

After breakfast at Faru Faru, you will be transferred in your private open sided 4x4 vehicle to the Sasakwa Airstrip, to connect with your private charter flight in your Cessna F406 to the Mara Plains Airstrip in the Maasai Mara ecosystem.

On arrival at the airstrip, you’ll head to the Mara Plains Tented Camp, where you will be heading out in the afternoon in your private open sided 4x4 vehicle with professional safari guide in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. The Mara Plains Camp is sited in a 30,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy. Here you’ll avoid the high tourist density of the Maasai Mara itself whilst still enjoying the same amount of game activity!

Overnight you’ll be staying at the Mara Plains Tented Camp on a full board basis in your luxury tent.

After breakfast at Mara Plains, you’ll be transferred to the Mara Plains Airstrip to connect with your private charter flight in a Cessna C208 aircraft to the Ol Donyo Airstrip which will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

On arrival at Chyulu Hills Airstrip, you will be met by your private open sided 4x4 vehicle and driver from Ol Donyo Lodge who will transfer you to the lodge for your overnight arrangements in your Pool Cottage on a full board basis.

The activities that you can enjoy at Ol Donyo include: game drives in your private open sided 4x4 vehicle, guided game walks, bush meals and sundowners in surprise locations in the bush. Your overnight arrangement will be at Ol Donyo Lodge in a luxury Pool Cottage.
