On arrival in Victoria Falls, you are met and transferred to the luxurious Old Drift Lodge Camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. You spend three nights here enjoying both the Victoria Falls, but also the Zambezi River activities.

Enjoy guided canoe trips in stable inflateable canoes or boating excursions followed by sundowner drinks on the river bank. You can also try your luck at some tiger fishing. On land enjoy game drives and bush walks with experienced guides in the Zambezi National Park. Elephant can be found loitering on the mainland or in the river, while hippo, waterbuck and bushbuck frequent the reed banks and islands. Lions can be heard calling at night and the birdlife is prolific – African finfoot, African skimmer, pratincoles and Pel’s fishing owl all occur here.

Today, after an early morning game drive and brunch, you are transferred to Victoria Falls in time for a charter flight (50 mins) down to Bomani Camp which lies in the southern part of Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s premier game park. Hwange is big game country with massive herds of elephants, especially visible at the end of the dry season in September, as well as lion, buffalo, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest sable, roan and other antelope. Game-viewing in Hwange is made easier by the shallow salt pans throughout the park. These natural salt pans offer the perfect cooling mud bath for elephants. Here you take part in early morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4×4 vehicles and game walks.
Upgrade option: Camelthorn Lodge (when it reopens)

Afternoon at Stoffies Pan Elephant Blind
Activities include early morning and afternoon game drives but also plenty of walking if you are keen. Enjoy al fresco dining under the ancient camelthorn, savour your morning coffee in front of a roaring fire, track herds of elephant by foot, and enjoy close up photography from inside the amazing look-up elephant blind.
Camouflaged as a termite heap, the photographic opportunities from the hide at Stoffie’s Pan are dramatic. Elephants can be photographed from toe level silhouetted against the sky. Such close proximity to Hwange’s huge bulls is breath-taking.

Today, after breakfast, you are transferred a mix of the unique Elephant Express railcar and 4x4 transfer to Nehimba Lodge.
Imvelo Safaris have come up with a unique way of arriving, or leaving, in style. They have built a special railcar which travels on the railway between their lodges. You can enjoy game-viewing en route as it is open-sided.
You first take the two hour train safari to Dete. Then you continue into the park by road to Nehimba, game-viewing en route.
Nehimba Lodge is deeply hidden inside a private concession in northern region of Hwange. It lies on the edge of the mopane woodlands to the north and the kalahari sandveld of the south and west. All the diversity of Hwange’s fauna and flora is within easy reach.

Activities include early morning and afternoon game drives but also plenty of walking if you are keen.

This morning, you enjoy a game-viewing transfer to the northern gate of Hwange National Park where you move to a road vehicle for the final 1½ hour journey back to Victoria Falls. We assume you are catching a flight from Victoria Falls so aim to get back in time for that.
