Rub elbows with the glitterati at Palm Beachfavorites. At Green’s Pharmacy & Luncheonette, every social standing finds equal footing over thick milkshakes and clunky plates of diner-style comfort food — the same way it’s been since 1938.

Day 12: Miami Beach

Shake the sand from your shoes, pack up and drive south to the world famous Miami South Beach.

Check in to the Loews Miami Beach for your final 3 nights in the Sunshine State.

Expert tips

Most tourists visiting South Beach rarely venture west of Alton Road. The Sunset Harbour area of South Beach has become one of Miami’s most popular boutique neighbourhoods — kept widely a secret from tourists. Boasting trendy shops, highly acclaimed eateries and epic Biscayne Bay views, locals love this micro-neighbourhood, and visitors will too.

Enjoy a cup of coffee at Miami’s favourite Panther Coffee and work up your appetite before dining on delicious gastro pub grub at Pubbelly Noodle Bar. Try their signature ramen with barbecue pork belly and bean sprouts in an aromatic lemongrass broth. Walk off lunch with a stroll through Lincoln Road and don’t forget to stop for dessert at one of the many mouthwatering gelato shops on Miami Beach.

Day 13: Miami Beach

Miles of sandy beaches which are backed with glitzy Art Deco hotels and sprinkled with attractive residents coming to and from model castings. A great place to cruise around, walk the boardwalk or enjoy a meal while you peoplewatch.

Expert tips

Just seven miles south of Downtown Miami lies the historic Venetian Pool. Located in the architecturally stunning suburb of Coral Gables, the Venetial Pool is no ordinary pool. Built in 1923, the 820,000-gallon pool — filled with fresh water daily from artesian wells — is the largest freshwater pool in the United States. It’s listed under the National Register of Historic Places and gets emptied and filled every night during the busy season when both residents and tourists rush to beat the Miami humidity.

This Venetian-style lagoon pool is carved out of coral rock and features caves, stone bridges, and waterfalls. When you get tired of your regular hotel pool, plan a half-day visit to the Venetian Pool.

Day 14: Miami Beach

Miami is packed with great shopping options from giant malls to the trendy boutiques on Collins Ave. Whatever your tastes or budget - Miami has retail therapy covered.

Expert tips

Do all your shopping at the end of your holiday so you don't have to carry it all around with you.

Day 15: End of Itinerary

Spend your final day in this beautiful part of Florida before checking in for your overnight flight back to Heathrow.

Expert tips

Don't expect many shopping or eating opportunities at Miami airport.  You will be confined to your gate concourse which has very limited retail outlets.
