Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Kigoma and Gombe Stream National Park
Depart Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport on a morning flight to Kigoma with Precision Air (approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes).
On arrival, meet the lodge representative and transfer by boat across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park, one of Tanzania’s smallest but most famous parks.
Known for Dr. Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking chimpanzee research, Gombe offers pristine forest, waterfalls, and a rich variety of wildlife including olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, and many bird species.
Arrive at Gombe Forest Lodge, a secluded eco-lodge with private tented rooms overlooking the lake.
After a late lunch and some relaxation, head out for an afternoon chimpanzee trek led by expert guides.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the forest and Lake Tanganyika.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Fishing Village Visit – Gombe Stream National Park
After an early breakfast, set out on a morning chimpanzee trek in the forest, following experienced guides along the rugged trails in search of Gombe’s famous chimpanzee families. Along the way, encounter other wildlife such as red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, and a wide variety of tropical birds.
Return to the lodge for a hot lunch and some time to relax by the lake.
In the afternoon, visit a nearby fishing village along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, gaining insight into the traditional lifestyle of the local communities who have lived alongside the park for generations.
Return to Gombe Forest Lodge for dinner and another peaceful overnight stay by the lake.

Day 3: Additional Chimpanzee Trek or Kayaking on Lake Tanganyika – Gombe Stream National Park
After breakfast, choose to join an additional chimpanzee trek, exploring new areas of Gombe Stream National Park with expert naturalist guides. Track different chimpanzee groups and discover more of the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.
The rest of the day is free to enjoy activities on Lake Tanganyika, including kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water.
Dinner and overnight stay at Gombe Forest Lodge.

Day 4: Gombe Stream National Park to Kigoma and Return to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, depart Gombe Stream National Park by boat, crossing Lake Tanganyika back to Kigoma.
Arrive in Kigoma mid-morning to connect with your onward flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport, where the safari concludes.
