DAY 1 Your tour representative will meet you upon your arrival at Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport and take you 3 hours away to the malaria-free, Big 5, Kaingo Game Reserve. It is situated in the Waterberg Region which is one of the few UNESCO-recognised biosphere reserves on the planet and is the only savanna biosphere reserve in the world. On arrival, enjoy a light lunch awaits at this traditional safari lodge, built from natural stone with thatch roofs, and with an olde world-Africa atmosphere. After settling in, enjoy a sunset game drive to experience first-hand the twilight beauty of the African bush and her wild creatures. Then it’s back to the lodge for dinner accompanied by the unparalleled orchestra and chorus of the wild African night, making your first night in the bush unforgettable.

DAY 2 Rising before dawn is a necessity if you want to see wildlife as they are most active in the cool early mornings or late afternoons. Strong coffee and one of South Africa’s iconic snacks, homemade rusks, will be served to see you through your game drive to brunch. After brunch each day, you are free to laze around, go swimming, or take a nap. Or reserve one of the recommended activities. High Tea is followed by the sunset game drive; once you’re back at the lodge, you will be treated to a delicious dinner.

DAY 3 The iconic and most dangerous wild animals of Africa – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard – are at home in malaria-free Kaingo Game Reserve, but so too are over 50 other mammal species and over 350 different types of birds. Also, Royal Morubisi is just 55km from the centre of the Waterberg Region and has the mighty Mokolo River weaving through its breath taking landscapes. Your daily sunrise and sunset game drives are the best way to experience the reserve's spectacular scenery and extraordinary wildlife. Each game drive is unique and unpredictable. Sunset game drives include stopping for "Sundowners" as the sun sets, and serves as an apertif before dinner. Under the Southern night sky awash with stars and glimmering constellations not seen in the Northern Hemisphere, dinner (maybe in the boma, maybe in the bush, and maybe with your fish on the grill) will be a truly memorable experience.

DAY 5 Rise early and enjoy a morning coffee with rusks before embarking on your morning game drive. Take in the beauty of the reserve's lush landscapes. Gaze down at the rivers and catch a glimpse of animals at the waterholes where wildlife frequently gathers. This diversity in terrain makes for scenic game drives and a wide range of habitats to explore. Return and enjoy your day at leisure. This evening, you'll be on the lookout for the nocturnal animals lurking in the bushveld. Upon return, feast on a delectable South African dinner.

DAY 6 Rise early and witness the bushveld waking, as animals love the cool early mornings. You’ll start your day with a strong coffee and the classic South African homemade rusks, which will keep you energized for your morning game drive until brunch. After brunch, you have the option to relax by the pool, take a nap, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. If you prefer, you can also opt for one of the lodge's optional activities. The afternoon continues with High Tea, followed by a thrilling sunset game drive. When you return to the lodge, a delectable dinner awaits to end your perfect day.

DAY 7 Today, enjoy your last full day at the lodge. Set out on your final sunrise safari and take in the beautiful landscape when the bushveld awakens. Take some final sunrise photos and create lasting memories. Upon return to the lodge, savour a delicious brunch before enjoying the day at leisure. Why not read a book by the watering hole waiting for game to quench their thirst? This afternoon, partake in your final sunset safari. Enjoy a sundowner for the last time before returning for a wonderful dinner.

DAY 8 Your final morning at Kaingo Game Reseve savour the moment with coffee and muffins as the animals and birds welcome the new day. Enjoy a healthy and filling breakfast at the lodge before your transfer to O R Tambo International Airport. There, check-in for your flight home or onward to another adventure on your vacation.
